While driving home late at night on a dark rural road, the witness noticed reflective eyes ahead near a cane field and woodline. As he slowed and passed, he saw a very tall hair-covered biped standing and holding a deer, which stepped to watch him pass. He turned around to look again but the figure was gone, and he watched the area for several minutes without relocating it. He later connected the size and behavior to his earlier camp experience.

Around midnight on January 21, 2017 the witness was making calls from the front porch and received a wood knock response from across the street, which drew the dog into the woods. When the dog went quiet the witness entered the woods, beat on an oak and shouted for the dog, then heard knocks, chest-beating, howls, a bluff charge and a tree pushed over while seeing eyeshine. After the witness told the entity to back away, the dog returned and they went home.

In fall 1925, two brothers were walking to duck blinds at sunrise near a lake in Louisiana with a kerosene lamp. They noticed two red reflections in the treeline that approached them, revealing a furry, lumbering figure with red eyes reflecting the light. Viewed through night vision in heavy fog, the figure showed unusually bright yellow-green eyes and cleared the road in a few strides. The witness retreated and did not report the incident officially.
