Around 2am the witness was driving a coworker home when headlights revealed red eyes behind a tree. The figure peeked out with its head tilted, then turned to show its chest, arm, shoulder and legs before taking one step and vanishing. The witness described it as huge, about 7-8 feet tall with very wide shoulders and grayish hair mixed with black, and said the companion confirmed seeing it.

The witness was hunting alone at dusk when a rock was thrown from the tree line. He scanned the trees with a gun-mounted light and saw a tall upright creature behind a large oak that growled and screamed, prompting him to fire at the tree. The creature fled bipedally across a meadow toward a valley. Afterwards the witness found hair and blood on the tree where the creature had stood.

The witness was driving west on a rural road in the early morning when a tall hairy biped stepped into the headlight beam. The witness braked to a near stop and watched the animal cross the road in long unhurried strides, step over a barbed wire fence, and disappear into the woods. The witness then secured the vehicle and drove away quickly.

It did not flee but rocked side to side, screamed extremely loudly, and stepped toward them. They left when another truck approached. Next day they found blood and realized it had stood in a deep ditch, implying tall height.

They drove the perimeter with night vision and a high beam and saw eyeshine high in trees near a pond. The witness was coonhunting with dogs in flooded timber at night when the dogs treed separately. After catching their own dogs, the witness heard wading steps, a growl and a whistling sound and smelled a strong putrid odor while the dogs whimpered. The witness then saw a very tall hair-covered creature standing behind them that hissed and splashed water toward them before the witness fled. The creature followed briefly then moved away making moaning sounds, and the witness saw a very large four-toed footprint while leaving.

The witness was driving an 18-wheeler north on Highway 71 near the Sulphur River around 1 a.m. when headlights revealed a trunk-like shape with red shining eyes on the roadside by the water. As the truck got closer, the shape turned and walked on two legs into the swampy brush with large quick steps. As the truck passed the spot, a loud scream was heard over the engine noise with the windows closed, and the witness continued driving without stopping.

In the fall of 1994 the witness walked into the woods behind the home at night with a flashlight and shotgun to scare deer away. He shone the light on a tall, broad, fur-covered figure standing still in brush whose eyes reflected the light. The figure grunted, yelled and moved toward him, the witness fired three times at close range then fled to the house, hearing it run and give a long loud warbling yell.

The witness drove with a companion to a turnaround at the end of a rough logging road through pine woods to talk. After getting out of the car, the witness heard loud bipedal footsteps approaching and then watched a huge human-like figure move through the trees for about ten seconds. The figure stopped about twenty yards away and looked over the treetops before the witness fled in the car. The witness returned with a relative the next day and reported the trees were nine to ten feet tall, with the head just above that level.

A family was camping by a river when the mother went behind the truck at night and saw a whitish upright creature at close range. She ran screaming to the others, and the family hurriedly broke camp while an older brother fired shots as the creature circled and crossed the road. Afterwards they found three-toed footprints near the truck and a large dent where the creature had struck the vehicle, then left immediately.

After going to sleep they were awakened by bipedal footsteps, owl-like calls turning to chatter, pebbles hitting the tent, touches to the tent and truck, and movement around camp. The man blew an air horn, they fled in their truck, later returned in daylight to find large footprints and discovered his phone had recorded sounds through the night.
