The witness had parked at the road to collect firewood and was returning to the truck when a large hairy bipedal creature crossed the road about 30 yards away and entered the woods. The witness drove to the crossing point and saw yellow eye reflection looking back from the woods before it disappeared and the witness left. An investigator later visited the site with the witness and documented the road and surroundings.

The witness was working alone at a gas compressor site around 2 a.m. when the headlamp caught reflective eyes in the woods beyond a fence. The source of the eyes stepped from behind a tree to the fence, then turned and walked bipedally into a creek bottom, prompting the witness to retreat to the truck and call the employer. Weak lighting prevented detailed observation, but the witness recalled a tall dark muscular form.

Late at night while hiking with a companion, the witness rested at a picnic table and shone a headlamp toward a hillside. The light revealed three sets of large green eyeshine, one pair of which appeared to rise to about nine feet high. The witness claims a family group has visited a rural wooded property regularly for nearly two years, typically evenings to early mornings several times a week. Reported activity includes footprints, wood knocks, odors, vocalizations, trail and structure formation, and direct sightings with food exchange and close interactions. An investigator visited the densely brushed property, observed extensive trails and shelter-like spots, and interviewed the household about four to five individuals of different sizes.

The witness was driving home around 3 a.m. and stopped at an intersection near a bridge. From about 50 yards away in bright headlights, the witness watched a large humanoid run across an open field to the east. Another motorist also stopped, asked about a bear running by, made a joking reference and drove off.

While road hunting with a spotlight, the witness and a friend spotted eyes and a dark silhouette in a field and the friend shot it with a .22. It did not flee but rocked side to side, screamed extremely loudly, and stepped toward them. They left when another truck approached. Next day they found blood and realized it had stood in a deep ditch, implying tall height.

A tow truck driver was loading a car that had struck an elk late at night when he heard a deep grunt. He shone a light and saw an upright creature dragging the dead elk one-handed by the antlers through deep snow into a drainage. The creature looked at him, continued dragging the elk about 100 feet, and disappeared from view after about 15 seconds.

The witness shot a deer at dusk and dragged it toward his truck after dark. On the trail he saw a widely spaced pair of large eyes at about his own height that stayed after he fired a handgun into the ground, then left to the side through dense brush with loud crashing. He smelled a foul musky odor and found pushed-over vegetation where it left, felt watched while field-dressing the deer, and later found part of the carcass dragged about 300 yards.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a companion driving to a casino at night when howling was heard and shortly afterward a large hair-covered biped was seen near the roadside in headlights. The creature reportedly stared toward a lead vehicle that braked and swerved, then walked off into a field. The witness and companion were frightened and returned home by a different route.

Late at night the witness was driving slowly on a rural road when reflective eyes were seen ahead on the opposite side. A large thick-legged figure crossed the road in front of the car, briefly turning its torso to look at the driver before continuing into a roadside ditch. The witness drove slowly past within a few feet, then sped away feeling watched without looking back.

The witness and a companion were in a boat heading toward shore at night when they heard splashes, smelled a foul wet-animal odor, and saw shoreline vegetation shaking violently. A large rock was thrown from shore toward them and landed near the boat. When they shone a flashlight toward shore they saw a large dark human-shaped figure with red glowing eyes partly obscured by vegetation, then yelled and banged oars before retreating to a safer distance and hearing a loud scream or roar as they loaded the boat and left.

The witness was hunting raccoons at night with hounds alongside a relative in marshy woods. After the dogs treed and the chased animal left the tree, the witness moved to a ridge to listen, noticed eyeshine, then saw a tall hair-covered animal about twenty feet away on the trail. The two looked at each other briefly, the witness does not recall how it departed, and a foul smell followed back toward the truck. The next morning the witness recovered the hounds still treed with a bobcat.

A driver on country back roads at night slowed after noticing something hiding behind a tree by the road. The figure peeked out at the vehicle and then hid again. The witness described a very tall human-like face with red eyes and was disturbed that it seemed to intentionally avoid the headlights.

Two volunteers were feeding birds at a raptor center late at night when they heard something large moving in the woods beyond the cages. They followed sounds of heavy footsteps and snapping twigs along a walkway for about 30 minutes as it moved toward a reservoir inlet. Both reported seeing large red eyes during the pursuit but did not describe seeing a body.

At age 12, the witness was lying on his bed watching TV in the family's trailer when he felt watched and looked toward the large rear window. Inches away on the other side of the glass stood a huge, broad, black-haired creature staring in with red eyes and a blank expression for several minutes. The creature bent slightly to look down into the elevated window, its eyes moving to look the witness over, before turning its head in a blur and leaving. Terrified, the witness fled to sleep in the bathroom and later told his father, who laughed it off.

While walking alone to his stand in the dark, the witness was followed in the brush line, then saw a huge dark-faced creature that hit a tree. The witness said he went outside at night with a flashlight and a handgun after suspecting someone was stealing gas from his truck. About 20 yards away he noticed an unusual bush-like shape that stood up to about 8 feet tall, showing a pale ring around its face and reddish-brown body hair, with red eye reflection. After holding gazes briefly, the figure turned and walked out of the yard past an empty house and up the street out of sight.
