Late at night the witness was driving on a rural road when headlights revealed two hairy figures beside a mailbox and gravel driveway. An adult-sized figure put a child-sized figure down on the ground and remained stooped over as if to protect it, while the child looked directly at the car. The witness did not stop and later found footprints in gravel at the spot the next day.

The witness and three relatives were hog hunting at night from two positions separated by several hundred yards. Around midnight they heard bipedal footsteps, grunting, whistling, whoops and reciprocal tree knocks, smelled a strong foul odor, and had small sticks thrown at their position. After a shot was fired into the ground, heavy running was heard moving toward the second position where glowing eyes were seen, and the group left around 2 a.m.

The witness was driving home from work at nearly midnight when something jumped onto the road at the top of a hill. It looked toward the vehicle for a second or two, showing big red eyes, then quickly crossed to the woods on the other side. The witness described it as gigantic and black, and said its speed and the height of its eyes made him think it was a Bigfoot.

The witness reported a loud contact against the outside garage door in the evening and overnight noises involving a storage box in the pickup truck. He reported watching three pairs of eye reflections at different heights from near the house for about an hour. The next morning he and his companion reported disturbed dew and large barefoot-like tracks in the yard.

Two visitors with a thermal camera joined the investigator and the homeowner after dark near the feeding fence. The group was pelted with rocks, heard branches snapping and saw large trees broken, saw eyeshine, and detected about five heat signatures. Two men reported being hit by something like infrasound, shaking and nauseous. The investigator accidentally shut the camera off when handed it.

The witness was driving north with two companions after shopping when they noticed red glowing eyes on the west side of the road. Two occupants then saw a tall white to light-grey figure cross the road in two to three steps. After stopping, the group saw another set of red glowing eyes on the east side about 8 to 9 feet off the ground where the figure had disappeared.

Around 1 a.m. the witness got up for water and looked out the kitchen window. About 20 yards into the woods behind the house, three pairs of red glowing eyes moved single file at an estimated 7 feet off the ground. No bodies could be seen in the darkness except moving branches, and the movement was described as smooth, balanced and agile.

While driving down a mountain road to work in the evening, the witness slowed for what looked like a bear. The animal stepped over a guardrail, looked at the stopped vehicle, then crossed the two-lane road in two steps and went up the mountain into the woods. The witness described it as very tall with dark matted hair and was shaken by the encounter.

Late at night at home, the witness heard dogs barking and howling and went to the door with a flashlight to scan the woods. The beam caught two pairs of eyeshine on either side of a tree a short distance inside the treeline at different heights. The eyes looked toward the witness and then toward each other before withdrawing into the woods out of view.

A group of five hiked an old closed ridge road around midnight under moonlight. After the leader produced knocks, responsive knocking came from timber about 50 feet away where a shadowy figure was seen, and the leader exchanged sounds with it. As the group hiked back to their cars they were flanked with glowing eyes, vocalizations and rustling.

After a child's whoops received an immediate whoop reply nearby, two adults who stayed behind briefly heard something approach closely then step away, seeing nothing with lights. Back in camp the group saw intermittent orange eyeshine below the ridgeline, and later heard movement around camp overnight including a camper shaking.
Man has late night road crossing encounter outside Levittown
The witness was driving home from a night job at about 1 a.m. when an upright, hair-covered figure crossed Green Lane in front of the car. The witness stopped about 15 feet away and watched it cross from east to west into a swampy area in two to three strides while looking toward the car. The figure was described as nearly nine feet tall with dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes.

On the night of Jan. 13, 2014, the witness spotlighted a distant field from home and saw red eye shine that reacted to the light. After retrieving a relative, the two drove to a pond with tall reeds about 300 yards away and again picked up eye shine high in the reeds. They watched the eyes blink and move low through a creek embankment from left to right, but could see no body because of distance. The witness recorded about a minute of phone video and estimated eye height the next day at 7.5 to 8 feet based on reed height.

On one load the witness heard splashes and saw high orange-red eyeshine, then on the next load found a branch placed where the truck backs in. The guest was alone having a barbecue at a ridge lookout in a national park when he heard fast unintelligible voices that fell silent after he called out. After a long silence he saw yellow eyeshine in the gully, then a large hairy upright figure by a tree, followed by a second smaller eyeshine, thumping sounds and a long loud howl. While driving slowly away down a rocky track he felt something shunt the back of his car but saw nothing when he braked.
Nighttime sighting by a man walking his dog in a subdivision next to the Ocala National Forest
The witness was walking a dog at the dark end of a subdivision backing to forest when the dog reacted to a large crouched figure nearby. The witness shouted warnings and shined a flashlight, seeing reflective eyeshine and a hair-covered, ape-like form. The figure then stood to great height and walked away behind trees, and the witness left the area with the dog.

The guest and his wife heard metallic banging behind the house at night. The guest shone a light and saw bright eyes briefly before retreating. His wife then viewed a figure swaying behind a bush through a thermal monocular and photographed the thermal screen.
