Early in the morning the household was awakened by tapping at a bedroom window and noticed a foul odor. Two family members went outside and saw large hairy bipedal creatures that ran toward the woods. The sighting lasted seconds, after which no tracks were found and dogs refused to approach.

Late one night the witness was sitting on the porch at home alone with a dog when something was heard breaking through brush. The witness went inside for a rifle, heard the thing move to the back of the house and try the door, then fled through an orange grove, fell into a swamp and lost the rifle. After looking back and seeing a creature, the witness reached the road and got help, and friends later found the back door torn off.

The family had recently moved to a rural fenced property. While the witness was away at night work, his wife and children heard a violent impact that shook the mobile home. Police found no cause, and the next morning the witness found two softball-sized dents above the children's bedroom window.
