Thinking the partly obscured shape outside the fence might be a horse, the witness walked toward it and then saw a tall upright figure covered in reddish hair that grunted, looked at the witness, then pushed through small trees and brush leaving the area with loud heavy footsteps. The witness ran to the house and told relatives who were inside.

Two coworkers were pumping feed into silos on a turkey farm after midnight. One smelled an unfamiliar odor and shone a spotlight, spotting an animal behind a barn picking objects from the ground and blocking the light with its hand. A large amount of foul-smelling clear slime splattered onto the partner, and the men retreated to the truck to find both dogs cowering underneath, unwilling to load.

She also reports finding a four-toed footprint, flattened weeds suggesting something had lain down and walked through, and damage to a chicken-coop roof. Two officers driving in the early morning in central Louisiana stopped beside a freshly hit deer on the highway shoulder. They watched a large hair-covered human-like figure squatted beside the carcass raking insides out and eating rapidly. After watching for a couple minutes they drove around it at close range and left, later returning to find the carcass gone.

The witness was hiking a logging trail beside a meadow when he mistook a stooped animal digging in an uprooted tree for a bear and called out while drawing a handgun. The animal stood to about seven feet, showed raised hair that settled after he holstered the weapon, and fixated on the yellow towel around his neck, which he tossed toward it before backing away. Turning, he faced a much larger second individual about ten feet away and fainted, waking minutes later to find both gone, the towel missing, and a folded leaf with grubs inside his cap.
