The witness reports hearing strange knocking sounds at night while home alone. The next day she found a small oak behind the barn snapped about eight feet up that had been intact the day before when she had been in the area with a relative. He saw a solid black biped about four to five feet tall moving along the roadside, which then sprinted between his car and an oncoming vehicle. After driving to two other spots up the road, they heard footsteps approaching and then something running toward them through the woods, which frightened the dog. They left the area and returned later that afternoon, but the shape was gone.
