The witness reports standing outside his home in the evening after returning from a store when he heard a very loud scream followed by four loud knocks from the nearby woods. He called to his wife, and four more loud knocks were then heard. He estimated the source was about 100 feet away and said he could hear trees moving.

While riding in the back of a minivan through farm country on Route 1 in Delaware, the witness looked out at a cornfield and noticed a dark brown shape standing among the dried stalks about 300 feet away. She watched it for 5-10 seconds as the vehicle passed, describing a wide, tall shape showing head and shoulders above the corn. No other occupants of the van reported seeing it, and she did not film it.

The driver and a relative passenger were driving on a rural road in the early morning after fishing. After slowing for a deer, they saw upright figures cross the road ahead from the center to the woods on the right. The driver perceived one dark silhouette showing head, torso and legs, while the passenger reported two figures with the second shorter and slightly stooped and with visible arm movement. They drove slowly past the entry point but saw nothing further and noted only normal night woods odor.
Recollection of a possible night time road crossing near Angola
Two occupants driving slowly on a wooded road at night saw an animal enter the roadway on all fours about 40 to 50 yards ahead. The animal turned its head toward the vehicle, showing red eyes, then continued across the road. When the car reached the crossing point, the occupants saw a tall, large silhouette standing motionless beside the road. They became frightened and drove quickly to a house.
