Seconds later a very tall, solid black upright figure appeared following the deer, walking steadily and pausing briefly behind trees. The witness watched it from about 100 yards away and estimated it was 8 to 10 feet tall by comparison to the deer.

Two people driving east on a dirt forest road heard a loud ruckus in the woods and stopped. A tall, dark-brown upright creature ran across the road about 10 feet in front of their vehicle, crossing in two steps. It continued about 40 yards into the woods and disappeared within seconds.

The witness was walking off trail with a companion when they noticed a dark figure behind a low stone wall. The figure stood up with its back to the witness and walked quickly into the woods without running. The witness reports ongoing nighttime disturbances at a rural home shared with a spouse. Strange noises begin at dusk and continue through the night, with knocking, dragging and loud thumps on the house and high windows recurring every couple of months. An investigator later noted additional whoops, chatter and wood-knocks from the timber line and cattle becoming agitated late at night. The witnesses state they have never seen the source and no tracks have been found.

Around 5 p.m. the witness went into the yard behind his home after dogs barked and two deer ran past. About 20 feet away in swamp vegetation he saw only a long jet-black-haired arm pulling on plants. The individual gave a loud whoop that was answered from farther down the swamp. The witness briefly turned to check his house door and when he looked back the individual was gone.
Couple hear possible knocks while fishing one morning near Lyme
The witness and spouse were fishing at a remote pond in the morning. After bringing fish to shore, the witness twice heard sets of three distinct knocks from a wooded slope behind them. No people were seen in the direction of the sounds, with houses located across the pond. The witness described the knocks as human-like and attributed them to Sasquatch despite no sighting or odor.

The witness was driving along a road overlooking a lake in daylight when she noticed a tall black figure moving easily up a steep snow-covered hillside. The figure crossed a driveway between wooded areas toward distant power lines, slouching and swinging its arms, with no hat, clothing, or snowshoes and a head that appeared to sit directly on its shoulders. The observation lasted a few minutes as the car moved, with the dark figure standing out against snow and sunlight. The witness first thought it was a man but concluded a man could not have walked that slope in deep snow so easily.

In the early evening the witness went outside to call the dog in and saw six or seven deer running as if chased. Behind the deer in tall grass about 100 yards from the house, a large hairy animal was running on two legs and towering above the 4-foot grass while chasing the deer. The witness, familiar with local wildlife including bears, concluded it was not a bear.

Late at night the witness arrived home and got out of the car with a young dog, which ran toward a brushy stone wall barking aggressively. The witness shone a flashlight and watched a dark bulky shape with bright reddish-orange eyes move slowly, crouch behind a tree and peer out before standing taller. The witness first assumed it was a bear but later concluded it was a sasquatch.

In 2008 the witness and a companion were sitting at a secluded spot deep in the woods on a relative's large forested property. The woods became unusually silent, then heavy bipedal-sounding footsteps approached up a steep brushy slope. Both fled to the house without seeing what made the sounds.

Late at night the witness took two leashed dogs for a walk on a moonlit dead-end street. The witness first watched a human-shaped figure move from bushes toward the back of a neighbor's house, then waited near the end of the street and saw a hair-covered biped run across a lawn into adjacent woods. The dogs barked intensely and pulled toward the creature.

Late on a Thanksgiving night in 2004, the witness and his mother were washing dishes when an extremely loud impact shook the side of the house near the woods. The witness stepped into an adjacent dark room and saw a very large upright shadow moving quickly away from the house toward the woods. His mother said the next morning she had felt watched for hours, and no footprints were found because the ground was frozen.
