Four men riding 4-wheelers in thick forest saw a black bear on an opposite hillside and rode toward it, but the bear disappeared into deep woods. Stopped at the hilltop, they noticed four large human-like footprints in fresh mud heading up the trail in a different direction from the bear. The prints were described as very large with a big toe and a few smaller toes and a long stride. Hunters in the group said the prints looked like Bigfoot prints and differed from bear tracks.

The next morning the witness found two large footprints behind the tree and another unclear print nearby.

The witness let a dog out at home late at night and heard stomping from across the road, which frightened the dog. The witness then saw a tall figure about 8 feet tall pass a street sign and telephone pole, blocking the sign, and disappear within seconds.

The husband searched with lights and briefly saw movement in the trees about 30 feet away, including what looked like a large dark lower leg. The witness stayed two nights at a friend's house on a wooded mountain development. On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. The next day he found two partial human-like footprints in a steep bank near a trail. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.
