Two relatives were hunting near a river and stopped at the edge to drink when they heard brush noises from across the water. A large brown figure emerged from the brush, moved downshore and crossed to their side while running on two legs. They then crossed to the other side and headed back upstream toward their trucks without further strange encounters.

A family was camping by a river when the mother went behind the truck at night and saw a whitish upright creature at close range. She ran screaming to the others, and the family hurriedly broke camp while an older brother fired shots as the creature circled and crossed the road. The figure was walking on two legs as it left the road and entered the brush. The relative searched with binoculars but the figure was gone.

A deep long growl then came from the woods across the powerline about 50 yards away, prompting the witness to back away and run to the truck.
