She woke her friend who also saw them before they disappeared without sound. The guest later checked and found the window ledge over six feet high, implying something at least seven feet tall.

The witness and a friend camped overnight on a logging landing while picking up equipment. At night something threw rocks at them, then after a warning shot it made a very loud scream and crashed through trees. After dinner the two children left camp to search for the father and reached a forest road clearing with birch trees. They watched a small thin dark-haired figure climb down a tree, screech, run on all fours, toss a stick, then continue bipedally behind a tree and disappear as the woods fell silent. They returned after dark and the father dismissed their account.

He then watched one climb a tree and jump down appearing translucent like the movie Predator before becoming solid again, after which he left.

The witness went with family at night to look for Bigfoot on a dirt road. He felt dread, shone a flashlight into a hillside and saw a pair of huge widely spaced amber eyes about fifteen feet away. After a slow blink and a powerful huff, the eyes vanished, shots were fired into the ground and the group ran to the car where a ranger warned of dangerous things.

The witness entered a drawn bow-hunt area before daylight and heard chattering like a samurai movie from two individuals. Calls and flashlight produced silence, then movement split to both sides of the trail as he climbed down. As he left, unseen individuals followed, mumbled, threw rocks and sticks, and struck his truck before rangers moved him to another area.

The researcher took boys to a Missouri conservation area chosen from reports and found long strings of hair-like balls, some wrapped around trash. Further up the trail he photographed a bent tree with broken top branches and piles of cut cedar like blinds. He later connected it to a local report of screams attributed to a panther.

The witness hiked several miles down the Trinity River and sat on a rock watching for fish on a calm day. A tree snapped and fell across the river in the brush, then a heavy log was thrown from the brush onto the river bar. The witness left slowly up the trail while watching the far side.

While finishing kayak fishing on a lake, the witness heard owls and then two loud knocks from the woods that sounded like wet wood on a dead tree. The witness did not feel fear and could not identify the source.

The witness was alone at night after pulling a deer into the woods to gut it. He heard cracking and clean snapping of branches circling just out of sight about 20 yards away. He could see nothing in the thick dark until his father drove by and he ran to the truck.

Driving back from Michigan on the Mountain Parkway near Prestonsburg in fog, the tired witness saw a monkey-like creature run across the road on all fours at an angle behind the guardrail. Its head topped the guardrail by a few inches, looked grayish to white, and seemed to blend with the fog.

A family group with friends hiked in to camp at a remote lake. After a joking tree knock received an answering knock, the night brought dog distress, stick-breaking sounds, and heavy bipedal footsteps passing the tents without disturbing food. The next day one camper felt watched while gathering firewood.

Two friends camped near a river and went for late-night fishing with a lantern. Rocks were thrown at them from across the wide fast river, landing near them repeatedly. They returned to camp to find others in tents and later concluded no person could have thrown such heavy rocks that far.
