A very loud yell came from just behind their lean-to, which shook visibly, causing the group to flee through the dark woods. One teen briefly froze before following, later reporting grunting and footsteps behind him. The next day the group found the lean-to torn down, the fire pit rocks scattered, and a strong wet-dog-like odor at the site.

Silhouetted figures with bulbous heads lined both sides of the bed while cluttered voices sounded in his head, giving the impression of being studied. A very loud two-toned roar-like crying vocalization was heard from the dark about 10 to 15 times and seemed to move without ever stepping into the light to be seen. The witness climbed up to look across a cut corn field and saw a tall slender brown shaggy figure walking along a ditch, which stepped into a ditch bank after being shouted at. They ran back to the companion's house, and the witness returned the next day to find large human-like footprints in lime dust.
