Witness has two encounters with an animal near Genesee River
The witness and a young relative were walking on a trail in winter when they heard movement in the woods beside them. A tall grayish-white animal came onto the path very close to them, made a growl-like sound, and moved away quickly. The pair fled the area and said no one believed their account.
Witness sees yellow. glowing eyes while four-wheeling
The witness and a companion were riding a four-wheeler through a swampy forest off abandoned tracks at dusk. The witness first noticed a black flash in the woods, then heard whistling and rustling behind them while riding slowly. Looking back, the witness perceived a large black bulk pursuing them and saw two yellow glowing eyes. The companion reportedly saw nothing, and the witness did not mention it at the time to avoid alarming the companion.

The witness was riding as a passenger with a companion while driving home to a year-round campground at night. The witness spotted a brown, hairy figure crouched on a boulder on a hill, facing toward the companion's cabin. When headlights hit it, it paused briefly, leapt about nine feet to another rock, stood up and ran bipedally out of sight down the hill. The companion did not see it.
White creature seen running through the woods, footprints found
The witness was walking with a friend out of tall grass into a field in the late afternoon when a tall, slim, white-furred creature was noticed about 100 feet away in the woods. The creature appeared to notice them, turned, and ran away very quickly. The witness did not see its face, hands, or feet clearly.
Hunter hears odd clicking noises while scouting
The witness hiked to a deer stand while hearing repeated groups of clicking sounds for about 45 minutes but could not locate the source on the ridge. While walking back out of the woods, the witness heard something large approach and stop behind them. The unseen source then made a very loud close grunt and, after the witness chambered a round, a loud guttural scream/grunt. The witness never saw the source.

A group filmed their campfire in upstate New York in 1997 without noticing anything unusual at the time. Years later while transferring the tape, a viewer noticed a dark figure moving in the trees in the background. The footage is described as showing a smaller ape-like figure about five feet tall climbing and swinging between trees with great agility, and follow-up review describes a second larger bipedal silhouette nearby.
Morning sighting by motorist at railroad crossing near Median
The witness was driving home from work in the early morning and stopped at a railroad crossing. While crossing she looked west and saw a tall, dark, hair-covered biped about 100 yards away crossing the tracks toward brush. She watched only a few seconds before driving home frightened.
Possible scream/howl heard near residence in Van Etten
In late summer or early fall 1997 around 10pm, the witness and the mother sat quietly on a relative's back deck watching stars in darkness. A strange vocalization lasting about five seconds came from 20 to 30 feet down the yard, then repeated seconds later from closer. The witness tried to turn on a light and searched the yard with a flashlight but saw nothing, and both went inside. No trace was found when checked the next day.

Late at night the witness was driving on a narrow wooded road when a hairy figure darted from the roadside and crossed in front of the vehicle. The witness braked hard and briefly saw the figure from the side and rear in the headlights as it went up a bank into the woods. The figure was described as tall, powerfully built and long-haired with no visible neck.
Two people in canoe see creature on shoreline
Two companions fishing from a canoe at dusk noticed a dark crouched shape on the shoreline about 50 yards away. As they rowed closer the shape stood upright to about seven feet, looked toward them, turned toward a twig-snapping sound behind it, then spun and ran into the forest with further movement sounds heard. After waiting in the canoe, they paddled ashore and found two obscured marks in the sand where it had turned.

The witness's family had moved to a remote house bordered by extensive forest. Over three consecutive nights an exchange student staying in the lower level reported a face watching him through the window while working out. The witness heard car-door-like slams and footsteps with no vehicle present, and on the final night the witness and the father chased outside and heard something crashing rapidly and powerfully through dense woods away from any road.

The witness was riding as a front-seat passenger with two companions driving slowly on a winding park road at night with high beams on. The witness saw a large upright hair-covered being run across the road in front of the car and climb the bank into dense thickets. The driver saw movement but not details, and the occupants heard sounds of it moving upslope through leaf litter before it disappeared.
Sasquatch sighting in New York (1994)
The second guest was scouting alone near his hunting camp in the Adirondacks in September 1994 at the start of archery season. After noticing shaking trees he walked a leafy trail at dusk and came face-to-face within arm's reach of a very large hairy man-like figure. The figure growled, shaking the witness, who closed his eyes, then fled to camp.

The witness's car sputtered to a stop on a bridge and the witness set out on foot toward home. From a dark forested slope the witness watched a tall tree thrash, then heard a massive thud, three loud knocks, and rapid footsteps sprinting uphill toward the road. An unseen presence stopped feet away breathing sharply, then repeatedly ran ahead and waited, forcing the witness to pass it several times over an eighth to a quarter mile. Near dawn where cover ended the presence vanished without ever being seen.
Stand-off with motorist at 6AM in fall, near town of Brant Lake
The witness was driving to work in early morning darkness when a tall figure emerged from the woods onto the road, forcing the witness to stop. The figure stood in the headlights a short distance ahead while the two looked at each other for an uncertain length of time. The witness reported no sound from the figure, no fear, and described its demeanor as sad.
Two young boys experience powerful, high-pitched vocalization
When the witness was about 10, he and a companion were shooting BB guns at fish in a pond on family land and then fired into a hedgerow. Immediately something unseen about 10 feet into the brush produced loud screaming and howling vocalizations and violently shook vegetation before moving rapidly toward the forest while continuing to vocalize. The boys fled to the house.

Two companions were canoeing parallel to the shoreline at sunset when they noticed a thin upright figure watching them from shore. The figure stared intently, then climbed slowly up a dead pine tree and tucked its head, appearing to blend into the branch like a lump of bark. The witnesses observed from offshore without approaching.
Tracks found in snow & other stories from vicinity of Bear Mountain State Park
The witness found footprints in overnight snow in the morning at home. The tracks started at a tree in front of the house, led around the back to another tree near the chicken coop, circled there about four times, then stopped with no trail leaving the circle or returning to the front. The witness covered one print with a garbage can lid to preserve it for a photo but never got a photo.

The witness and a companion were cross-country skiing on a logging road in January when they found large, fresh, barefoot-like tracks crossing the trail. The tracks had not been there about ten minutes earlier, were estimated at 1.5 to 2 feet long, and only two prints spanned the 6- to 7-foot-wide trail. They found no vehicle tracks or other human footprints to explain them and left the area quickly.

Late in February 1989 the witness was jogging on a wooded trail at night when footsteps paralleled him about 20 feet inside the treeline. The steps quickened when he ran, continued briefly after he stopped, and suggested a biped taking one stride to his two to three. He ran to a clearing by a golf course, heard heavy breathing and a throaty rumble and a branch snap without seeing a form, then fled to a town street.
