After slipping on a rug while trying to get up, the witness ran to the back of the house. From the back door the witness saw the figure running across a field toward a barn and losing sight behind it, while relatives in the house did not arrive in time to see it.

The witness later waited locked inside the work vehicle until coworkers returned.

The witness and a relative arrived before dawn for turkey hunting in river-bottom woods and swamp. While walking in darkness they heard a loud scream nearby, then heard it again and later several more times over a couple hours, feeling the source was following them. They waited until sunrise, moved a short distance, then left the area and did not return. Neither person saw the source and they reported no tracks or sign.

A truck driver was sitting in his truck at night on the outskirts of a swamp during an oil loading operation. He reported a strong gamey smell and, after turning on the headlights, saw a large ape-like creature with red eyes staring at him. He panicked and drove away with the loading hose still attached, spilling oil, and afterward refused to do night loads.

The witness saw a bipedal creature stop, come downhill toward the yard, and break through an electric fence before looking around and walking quickly away over the hill. In 1976 the witness was riding a motorcycle alone on a dirt trail after leaving friends who were jumping a ditch. He stopped after glimpsing what he thought was another motorcycle moving through trees to the south. The object proved to be a tall white-haired biped that stopped about 25 yards away on the trail, faced and snarled at him before walking south again, after which he fled back to his friends.

He later estimated its height at 8-10 feet using the 4-foot fence as reference, describing it as slender and upright.

The figure was described as covered in long dark brown hair with a lighter patch on the chest and red eyes.
