The witness rowed alone upstream, beached the boat, and hiked to a fishing spot where a mud layer on a rock shelf held a set of very large tracks. The tracks were estimated at about two feet long, crossed the shelf from the water, and continued up a very steep clay bank without shortening stride. No creature was seen and no other witnesses were present for the find.

The witness later found torn-up sand where the figure had come down a high sand hill but left without following.
