He heard repeated loud vocalizations from a distance that started low, rose higher with a warbling quality, then faded. The sounds continued for about an hour and at times seemed to get closer, while he remained motionless and silent in his sleeping bag.

While waiting on stand during a rifle deer hunt, the witness watched a brown man-like figure walk upright into view and stop beside a lone pine tree, feeling it was looking at her. After a few seconds the figure dropped to all fours and left her view. Minutes later her brother appeared in the same spot, looking much smaller and dressed differently, convincing her the earlier figure was neither her brother nor a bear.

About seven years earlier, while driving at dusk on a gravel road into the Blue Mountains, the witness came around a bend and saw two tall figures crossing the road in the headlights. The lights reflected yellow from their eyes while low sunlight illuminated their bodies. The witness stopped and got out after they walked into the woods but saw nothing further and found no tracks because the ground was hard.
