A game camera captured a close-up image of long reddish-brown hair directly in front of the lens with no body visible. The property owners then found a series of four large barefoot tracks with visible toes coming from the woods past the same camera. They photographed the tracks with a tape measure, and later investigators measured remaining impressions at about 14 inches long. No one reported seeing the creature directly.

The witness and his wife were asleep in their camper at a campground when they were woken by very loud, deep, long howls from very close by. The witness was geocaching with three children in a rural wooded park on a sunny afternoon. They heard a very loud crashing sound about 25 to 30 feet away and briefly saw a jet-black elongated shape. A family of four was hiking and identifying animal tracks in a forested mountain area when the husband found a single large footprint off the trail. The print was about 13.5 to 14 inches long and about half an inch deep, with possible toe impressions, and crossed perpendicular to the trail. The witness took a boat with family to Shell Island and walked inland from the beach toward dense forest. About 7 yards from the treeline he heard a loud scream-screech, looked up, and saw a large brown mass moving right through the woods for about a second. He ran back to the beach and told family, who did not believe him.
Close observation of a Sasquatch on a front porch at night near Gainestown
Late at night the witness woke on a relative's couch to barking dogs and sounds on the front porch. Looking out a lit window from a few feet away, he watched a large hairy creature squat on the porch and rummage through trash bags for an extended time without showing its face. The creature then leapt down and left across a road and ravine.

The witness and three relatives were hog hunting at night from two positions separated by several hundred yards. Around midnight they heard bipedal footsteps, grunting, whistling, whoops and reciprocal tree knocks, smelled a strong foul odor, and had small sticks thrown at their position. After a shot was fired into the ground, heavy running was heard moving toward the second position where glowing eyes were seen, and the group left around 2 a.m.

The witness and a roommate were on the back porch at night when they heard very loud howling and repeated whooping sounds coming from the creek. The sounds continued for about 15-20 minutes, moving up and down the creek without fading. The witness described the calls as clear, very loud, and reminiscent of a mother calling a child home, and said it was unlike anything heard before.

In daylight they found a matted vegetation bed, a fresh flattened trail, and footprints in mud where the sounds had come from. The entity itself was never seen.

He observed its back, broad shoulders, and reddish-brown hair for a few seconds before driving past, then turned around but it was gone. He stayed in the area for hours making calls that drew coyote and owl-like responses, and returned the next day with a companion to search for tracks without success.

The witness was alone photographing old pines around noon when loud banging and knocking began after a car horn sounded. About 15 minutes later a large birch about 20 to 30 feet away was heard cracking, seen bending down and then springing back upright. The witness did not see any creature, feared an animal larger than a bear, ran back to the car, and inferred something had been in the tree watching.
