The witness woke around 2 a.m. to dogs barking and a deep droning vibration with a scanning blue-green light in the bedroom. The witness sensed a presence, saw a hand at the door, then described being taken up through the roof to a craft for tests and being placed before a mantis-like figure. The witness was returned to bed, saw the craft move west, and later asked students and a colleague about lights and noises that night.
Three fishermen watched by "something"
In 1982 three companions were fishing along a river when they noticed an absence of birds and wildlife and a feeling of being watched. They then observed a figure watching them from a wooded ridge 50 to 75 yards away for about 45 minutes. When they left, the figure followed them at a distance as they walked about a mile back to the truck, during which they also noticed a faint dead-like smell.

The witness was overseeing a large group of youths at a nighttime bivouac and had just settled them to sleep when he noticed a tall dark silhouette standing beyond the tents. When he returned with light the figure was gone, and a check at daybreak found flat open ground with no object that could have explained the shape.

From about fifty feet they realized it was a hairy biped about six and a half feet tall. The witness ran to the cabin and did not search for tracks.

The companion spotted large barefoot-like marks in mud, and the pair followed the long-stride trail across grass toward a small swamp leading to woods. The witness later associated the find with interest in Bigfoot.

The witness and her husband were driving slowly after shopping to look for new home sites when she noticed a figure ahead on the road. The figure continued down the road into deep woods where no one lived, and she saw it was large, dark, and covered in long hair. Her husband stopped the car and they spoke briefly, then he backed up, but the figure had vanished and they could not find it searching nearby roads.

The witness and two friends camped on the far side of the lake after fishing. About three in the morning something howled very loudly with bass they felt in the chest. They debated paddling out in the dark but later wrote it off as a large coyote.

Months after the spring incident, the witness waited outside the same farmhouse before a family trip and heard leaves rustling in a deep gully. The witness watched a coordinated group move uphill, with smaller figures on the sides and an adult pair in the gully, the female carrying an infant. One figure made eye contact conveying avoidance, then the witness turned and walked away without looking back.

The witness and a friend camped on a rock outcropping on Cougar Mountain. Rocks tumbled down nearby and they later heard heavy pacing in the woods while sheltering from rain. After shouting and firing a shot that collapsed the tent, they spent the night under a tarp and heard nothing more.
Whoop in Tennessee (1982)
At age fourteen the witness and his father anchored their new boat to fish upriver from the Raccoon Mountain Pump Station. Every time they caught a fish they heard a whooping sound from the sandstone cliffs, and when they threw a fish back they heard an exasperated sound from the same direction. They could never see the source despite looking across at the cave openings, and the witness later felt the sounds matched the Sierra Sounds recordings.
Green Mt. east of Drain - Men hear scream, something charges, smell something bad
Two people went into heavy mountain timber at night to investigate a reported creature. After hearing a scream and finding whitish droppings, they heard trees shaking and stomping from brush in a canyon, then something charged while snorting and screaming. After a shot was fired in the air, multiple creatures were said to start coming up the hill, and the two fled to their car.

While walking alone on a trail near camp, the witness felt uneasy with hairs standing up and decided to return. He noticed a strange caramel-colored tree-like shape about thirty yards away with a dark face and head peeking out sideways and a hand on the trunk. He briefly thought it was a hollow in the tree, kept walking to camp, and did not tell anyone at the time.
