Youths in Summer Camp have noisy nighttime experience
The witness was sleeping in a cabin during a summer camp session when loud nighttime noises caused an uproar. A cabin-mate reportedly looked out and described multiple large, hairy, human-like figures near the water tower and cabins. The next morning the witness saw extensive human-like footprints, a large uprooted tree, and vegetation pulled from the lake. Campers were walked around the perimeter to view the traces and were sent home early.
"Brinson Monster"
In 1966 or 1967, several high school students parked at an abandoned farm in the evening reported seeing a tall light-colored upright animal with red eyes watching them. The story spread through the high school where it became known as the Brinson Monster. The narrator notes people at the time did not connect it to Bigfoot or Sasquatch.

The witness was taking part in a nighttime military training exercise in a forested area in 1966 and was returning alone to the company area around 3-4 a.m. He noticed the outline of a large upright figure coming down a steep sandy hill toward a logging road while hearing footsteps and shifting dirt. When he challenged the figure, it responded with a loud growl, and he ran to the campfire without hearing pursuit. He initially told others the pursuer was a bear but later concluded it had walked on two legs and was a bigfoot.

When the witness was about ten in the 1960s, the witness and three other children went into thick woods near the river to feed cows at a pond. About 30 feet away a tall hairy figure stepped into full view from a clearing, took one long step, and disappeared behind a bush. The children ran home and were not believed.

The witness, then a teenager on a church group camping trip in the mountains, was sleeping apart from the group and watching the peaks. He noticed the jagged horizon looked smooth and swaying, realized it was the silhouette of a large standing animal at the foot of his sleeping bag, smelled a skunk-cabbage odor, hid under his bag, and later found it gone. Around the same time other children by a rock overhang shouted about seeing a big gorilla-like figure moving and walking away, which the adults dismissed.

The witness hiked alone in heavy snow above the timber line to a summit and then turned back along the same trail. On the descent the witness found very large bear-like tracks that appeared to have followed the ascent route and then joined the witness's trail. Frightened by the thought of being followed in winter conditions, the witness ran down the mountain and returned home without reporting the incident at the time.

The witness and a companion were driving on a wet highway after rain and came close to a creature in the road apparently eating frogs. When it noticed the car it stood upright and quickly left the road, climbing a steep rock wall without using its hands. The pair were frightened and drove quickly past the spot. From about 100-150 yards to the right, the witness heard several loud impacts described as long dry posts striking tree stumps. No loggers or campers were known to be in the area, and the witness found the sounds unlike anything previously heard in the woods.
