Sasquatch sighting near Dillingham, Alaska (1983)
The guest as a young child slipped away from family at his grandmother's property to work on a tree fort. About seventy yards ahead in tall willows he saw a large shadowy figure he first mistook for an uncle. The figure gave a blood-curdling scream and the child ran back to the house.
Sighting by campers
The witness group was camping near Mills Creek in the morning when their two dogs rushed into the shelter acting frightened and staring toward a spruce grove. After keeping watch, the group briefly saw a dark upright shape moving away through bushes and about half an hour later heard repetitive grunting from a distance. The group did not investigate and left the area cautiously.

In summer 1983 a camp leader took an assistant and nine boys on an overnight hike on Tet Ridge. During the afternoon hike they repeatedly glimpsed a large black figure at a distance and found very large tracks and broken branches high above the ground. That night at a near-summit camp the group heard multiple loud roars and stayed awake by the fire, also hearing movement below. They found no further sign on the hike out and agreed not to tell others.

A group playing in the woods outside Jefferson heard strange noises and went to investigate, thinking it was other members of their group. They saw a large hairy creature moving away rapidly that could run upright and did not have the shape of a bear. The group ran home at that moment and never encountered anything similar again.

The witness reports waking at first light as a child while sleeping on the floor of a relative's house and seeing a figure pass the bedroom window, then look in. The figure reportedly reached an arm through the open window, took jewelry from a dresser, and fled when an adult moved in bed. Adults in the house reportedly said the creature had been around for years and was harmless.

The witness was preparing to bathe at home in the evening when she noticed a tall, dark, shaggy figure standing only feet from the bathroom window. Its head and shoulders filled much of a window set about six feet off the ground, though its face could not be seen clearly. The witness was riding a bicycle on a trail through woods near a grocery store when a large hairy creature stepped into the path, causing a fall. The creature stood over the witness at close range and produced a loud howl/growl with its mouth open before leaving into the woods at high speed while breaking branches. The witness then rode home quickly and hid inside.
Backpackers find long, oval shaped nests, three miles from camp
During a 1983 backpacking trip in wooded hills in Arkansas, the witness and friends found three oval rock-and-leaf structures described as nests, with bark-stripped branches beside two of them, plus a very large scat pile and a pine tree with bark stripped in long strips. They remained in the area two more days hearing unidentified spooky noises but reported seeing no animal.

The witness woke in his parents' bed to find the room filled with intense red light. Silhouetted figures with bulbous heads lined both sides of the bed while cluttered voices sounded in his head, giving the impression of being studied. His parents remained asleep, and he recalls no transition to sleep, remembering nothing again for days.

Two men walking through very dense brush heard a loud roar-like sound ending in a high-pitched shriek. They then smelled a very strong foul odor and heard unseen brush movement, followed by a second, closer howl. Both men fled through the brush and exited about half a mile from where they entered. The account was relayed to the reporter by a relative of one participant, who said the participant remained frightened of that woods afterward.
Young boy has encounter with young bigfoot on front porch at grandparents' house
The witness was playing with toys on the floor inside a relative's home with the front door open and a screen door closed. A small reddish-brown furry biped stood on the porch beyond the screen watching, and the witness approached very close for about half a minute before leaving to fetch an adult relative. When they returned the creature was gone, and a toy left outside the next day was never seen again.

The witness and his brother were building a house on an undeveloped lot and sitting outside on the road at night after turning off lanterns. About fifty yards away, at least three very large animals began screaming, cackling, and babbling like primates. The witness tried to illuminate them with a motorbike headlight, but they were already gone and the night fell still.

The witness and girlfriend walked onto a moonlit golf course green late at night. A large tree began thrashing with loud grunts, yells and a lion-like scream. They ran downhill to the car as a tall hairy wide-shouldered creature dropped, pursued and flanked them, and they escaped by driving to town.
Sasquatch sighting near Forsyth County (1983)
The witness and a friend parked in a car on a wide tractor path near creek bottoms at night to drink before a party. A very large hair-covered biped took one long stride into the path about 20-25 feet away and faced the car for a minute or more, breathing heavily and flexing its fists. After a whistle-like sound from the woods, the creature made a dismissive huff, stepped out of sight in one stride, and left silently. The two men drove away and did not return.
Elk hunter observes an apparent family group
The witness was archery hunting with a group near Elk Valley and walked into a clearing expected to lead to ponds. From about 100 yards away the witness saw three erect dark-brown figures walking quickly in height order toward timber, with the leader gesturing for the smallest to hurry. The figures disappeared into the timber, and the witness did not investigate but later learned a companion nearby had seen the same thing.
UFO sighting in Connecticut (1983)
While working evening and midnight shifts as an officer the witness says the department was repeatedly called about silent lights in the sky, often described as five lights in a triangle that disappeared. The airport reported nothing on radar and the calls were laughed off.
Sasquatch sighting near Walkerville, Michigan (1983)
The witness and her sister and her sister's fiance stopped on a remote dirt road at night to relieve themselves. A tall white shaggy biped came from the driver's side and walked at an angle across the headlights into the woods, unhurried and not aggressive. The three fled in the truck and have maintained they saw a non-human creature.
Man has sighting after massive landslide on Highway 50
The witness was traveling by truck when a mudslide blocked Highway 50 and stopped with others to view the slide area. The witness then saw a large dark bipedal figure high on the steep hillside across the river, apparently also looking at the slide. The figure stayed upright for about 15 seconds, appearing to lean on a small tree, then walked uphill out of sight, moving more smoothly than a bear on two legs.
