As children playing in the creek behind a relative's house, the witness and a younger cousin saw a tall dark hairy form peek from behind a tree. Both children ran up the hill into the house and reported a very large being bigger than an adult relative. An adult suggested it was a deer and kept them inside.

While staying back at a cabin during a scout camping trip, the witness heard a very loud wood crack like a branch breaking or tree falling. There was no wind and no birds or small animal sounds before or after, which struck the witness as unusual.

After dogs began digging out, the witness found a section of four-foot chain-link top rail bent down into a V nearly touching the ground. He judged dogs could not bend it by hand and there had been no storm or fallen tree. Police had no explanation and the witness briefly suspected an attempted break-in.

A wildlife official suggested a panther though none had been reported for years. The guest visits a lineman's encounter location near sunset. They hear a rumbling approach with breaking trees while the lineman retreats to his truck. The guest is left briefly alone, then sees a tall figure move between trees as the truck headlights return, before climbing into the truck bed to leave.

The guest's wife was driving north on Route 45 out of Lisbon in mid-afternoon after a nursing shift. Traffic stopped as one shaggy dark-brown creature ran across the road, jumped guardrails and vanished, then a second similar creature crossed farther down the road in the same direction. She saw the first one's Neanderthal-like face, while other stopped drivers also watched and reacted.

On an earlier night visit to the swampy back side of the same ridge, two researchers sat on ATVs with engines off. They heard an extremely deep low guttural growl from dense foliage and quickly left the area.

The witness was home at night with two female relatives when they went to open a sliding glass door for air. Pulling back the curtain, the witness came face to face with a tall gray-white hairy creature bent down with a hand reaching for the door handle. Both screamed, the creature made a horrible groan and ran down the hill toward woods and swamp. Tracks were later seen around the door leading toward the woods.

The witness went alone to scout for turkey on public land with a trail branch. The witness found a large log leaned in a tree fork with smaller structures nearby and snapped-off trees across the trail. The witness then felt sudden sickness, dizziness and a hazy light, sat to recover, felt watched while walking out, saw a buck bolt from behind, and felt wiped out for about three days.
Wood knock near Coloma, Montana
The guest camped at Coloma with one other person and did tree knocks. Something responded and came up to shake his tent during the night. He stayed inside and did not see whether it was a Bigfoot or a mountain giant.
