On the second night something bipedal approached with raspy breathing and growled for about fifteen seconds before walking away on two feet. They stayed but saw almost no game over three days despite bedding and trails.

Two friends sat in a parked car at night on a power-line trail waiting for others. The witness saw a large silhouette block the moonlit trail beside a low-hanging limb, then take a couple steps across. The older man said such beings are drawn to ceremonies to observe and protect, and they remained at a distance without approaching or making sound.

The witness, then a 10-year-old boy, was catching reptiles in a dry creek bed behind his grandparents' rural property when a tall slender ape-like female appeared across the creek with an infant. He crouched and pretended to eat vegetation to avoid provoking her while they observed each other for several minutes. A taller darker male then emerged, bared his teeth and displayed aggressively, and the female positioned herself between the male and the boy. Both creatures then left into the brush, and the boy ran home and told his grandmother, who said she believed him.

As a toddler the witness was sitting on her grandmother's porch when two small chimp-like creatures grabbed her diaper and tried to drag her toward the woods. Her grandmother beat one with a broom handle until it released her, while the other seized the family dog and carried it up a tree. Her uncle then shot and killed one creature, and responding sheriff's personnel instructed the family to burn and bury the carcass on the property, where it was said to remain.

The witness describes being followed on multiple walks along a road where something above on the cliff moved when they moved and stopped when they stopped. On one walk a friend accompanied him and also heard it, confirming it was not imagined. They could not see over the edge to identify what made the sounds.

Driving about 65 mph after leaving a mall, the witness felt a violent impact that destroyed the front end and scattered parts far behind, but saw no animal. He found hairs and blood spots, noticed a wet-dog smell, and an officer suggested a wolf without filing a report. He later wondered it was a juvenile sasquatch.

While living isolated near a reservoir, the witness repeatedly heard packs of coyotes vocalizing late at night followed by loud snapping of healthy trees about 300 yards away, after which coyotes went quiet. He also heard wood knocks almost nightly but never heard howls and never saw an animal.

A door slammed open and heavy footsteps and furniture movement were heard downstairs, then something came up the stairs. He waited with a bat and confronted a huge black outline with glowing red eyes that seemed to enjoy his fear before leaving.

The patrol stopped, smelled a musty swampy odor, and performed a break-contact drill firing blanks while running to extraction. The commander later dismissed it as probably a bear.

The following year the witness camped in the backcountry with two relatives. Around 2 a.m. he woke to heavy padded footsteps walking near the tent that stopped and resumed. The night after Christmas the witness watched from a gas well across the valley as dozens of small pin lights moved along the ridge and dropped into the valley. Later from the truck near the first sighting area he watched a beach-ball-size bluish light and then a basketball-size yellow-orange light move intelligently six to ten feet off the ground around trees, pause at the ravine edge, and drop over, casting almost no light despite brightness. Companions asleep in the truck did not see them.

On another weekend the witness was leaning back on a four-wheeler with a rifle across his lap near the ravine edge when he heard close rock clacking ahead. Then from about fifty feet behind him in the forest came an extremely loud escalating bark-growl-roar that shook the vehicle and his body. A younger companion walking the ravine edge within fifty yards reportedly did not hear it at all.

On another weekend on opening morning of rifle season, the witness was in a tree stand near the first encounter spot at false dawn feeling emotional about a friend. He heard a very close rapid tree knock like an alarm, close enough that he felt he should see the source, but blurred vision prevented seeing anything.

After the initial encounter the witnesses explored a hidden bench on the hillside and found what they described as clear tree structures, including a three to four inch sapling wrapped and bent around another tree with broken branches and sticks pushed in. They felt it could not be natural and required hands and thought.

The witness and companion drove up a forest road and found a green tree about thirty feet long knocked across the road with footprints and flattened grass nearby. After whooping, they heard three tree knocks near a parked woman and then a single knock close to themselves. The woman and her husband asked about the noises and left.
