When about 10 years old, the witness was fishing apart from two relatives on the Kansas River. He saw a large dark hairy figure standing in the water and splashing as if bathing. After the figure looked at him, he ran back to his relatives in fear and the group left the area.
Fisherman hears heavy breathing ,turns and sees tall man-like creature
The witness was standing fishing in knee-deep river water while a companion fished downstream. Hearing heavy breathing behind, the witness turned and saw a tall, athletic, hair-covered male-like creature standing by a tree on the bank about 100-150 feet away. The two stared at each other for several minutes, and as the witness moved sideways downstream the creature moved between trees keeping watch, until the witness reached the companion; when they returned the creature was gone and no prints were found in dry sandy soil.

Late on Thanksgiving night in 1977, the witness was returning home from jogging when he heard a noise in nearby bushes and ran uphill toward his house. He heard splashing to the south and watched a distant creature standing in the stream, splashing water and briefly rising on two legs to look and smell before resuming splashing. The witness was driving slowly on a rural road at night to bring awards to a scout campout when a hair-covered biped stepped over a fence into the road. She stopped close to it, stepped out behind her car door, and watched it for about a minute under her headlights while noting red glowing eyes and a musky odor and feeling calm. The biped then crossed the road, stepped over the opposite fence, paused to look back, and strode toward trees out of sight.

While throwing a football alone at night, the witness noticed a small head with pointed ears peeking from behind tall hedge bushes and threw the ball toward it after it repeatedly ducked. Later that same night while sleeping near a low bedroom window, a much larger hairy face appeared at the glass, made eye contact, shifted its eyes, wrinkled its brow and opened a wide mouth showing pointed teeth. The witness fled to a parent's room while heavy pacing was felt and heard around the house, then police were called but found nothing. The next morning the witness found large prints around windows and garden, recalled repeated early-morning howls, a growl with a branch breaking, grunting in the basement and a violently shaking backyard tree.
