Two roommates heard loud wailing vocalizations from outside while watching a movie late at night. The sounds started low and guttural then rose to a high wavering pitch and repeated after a pause, causing neighborhood dogs to react loudly. After the sounds stopped, the witness stepped outside, noticed a horrible smell and a feeling of being watched, then went back inside.

The witness was backpacking alone and set up camp above a ravine in the evening. After hearing rustling below, the witness used a flashlight and saw a tall dark-haired bipedal figure hiding behind trees about 40 feet away.
