From about 50 feet he watched for about 10 seconds as it loped down the road with an uneven back motion and then disappeared into the woods on the other side. He noted thin legs with longer rear legs, no visible tail or ears, and a head held low, which did not match a bear or loose cow to him.

At noon on a clear day, two men standing on high ground overlooking a pond watched a tall, black hair-covered biped walk through pines behind the pond for about 100 feet. They estimated its height at 8-9 feet using a 4-foot fence for scale and said it walked casually without noticing them. When it should have entered an open clearing it was gone, and a search of the area found no trace.

A relative reported on behalf of the witness, who was driving home in the late afternoon when a tall hairy biped stepped onto the road very close to her car. The witness braked and swerved to avoid a collision as it walked slowly across without hurrying, glancing back once before disappearing into woods by a lake. The encounter reportedly lasted about 30 seconds in good daylight.
