Four coworkers at a cable logging site noticed movement across a canyon. Two of them watched the subject for about 15 minutes through a rifle scope from about 2500 feet away. The witness, left alone in standing corn, heard a loud scream approaching and was knocked down by a bent-over thing carrying a deer on its shoulder, which dropped the deer and fled. The group found the deer alive but severely injured with a twisted hind leg and broken antlers; a responding game warden shot it and released it to them, and dressing showed a dislocated hip, broken backbone and badly bruised meat.

He saw a tall coal-colored hairy creature about 40 to 50 feet away watching him for about two seconds before it turned and ran south up the ravine on two feet. Near where the tracks crossed a road the group found berry-filled scat, and later found another set of similar tracks in an old burn area. The witness was driving a rural road at night for work when he stopped to watch an upright creature on the roadside that appeared to be smelling and examining possible roadkill. He watched from his vehicle for about three minutes in his headlights as the creature stood up and walked toward him to within about ten feet. The creature then turned away, walked into the ditch and woods, and the witness drove away and avoided the road afterward.

The witness was elk hunting on horseback in the Idaho wilderness with a companion when their horses became unmanageable near a ridgetop. They discovered very large fresh human-like footprints in snow that did not look like bear tracks. After moving away, they learned that two hunters camped in the next valley had abandoned camp after reporting a screaming animal throwing logs and destroying their camp.

Late at night the witness stopped under a streetlight while biking back to school to fix a brake. He heard loud bipedal footsteps approaching, then saw a white-haired gorilla-like creature about 20-25 feet away. The creature chased him briefly, moving bipedally and on its knuckles, before stopping, swaying, and climbing over a rock wall. The witness rode to a nearby house and waited until morning.

Two people were sitting outside watching the sunset when they heard muffled tapping like wood being chopped from behind a house across the street. They stood to look and then watched a very large upright monkey-like animal climb a pine, jump to another tree, pause briefly, and jump down from an estimated 20 feet.

The witness, then ten, was riding a horse to collect cows for evening milking when the horse refused to advance, stamping and snorting. A large dark humanoid stood up from behind a small cedar tree about 60 to 70 yards away, walked several upright strides, and hopped the back fence. The witness was deer hunting alone in a canyon when he spotted a nude human-like figure coming up the canyon from a long distance. He watched it through a riflescope and then with the naked eye as it reached about 80 yards across the canyon, briefly entering manzanita brush and then reappearing to continue uphill. He described a tall, slender, muscular hair-covered figure walking hunched over that did not appear to notice him.

With eyes kept shut, the witness heard something walking in the water, noticed a strong urine-like odor, and felt something brush their hair during an encounter lasting several minutes. At daybreak, very large foot-like indentations were found in dry and wet sand around the sleeping area, campfire and tent.

Four people sleeping outdoors beside a river were awakened around 2 a.m. by loud screaming from across the river. The source paced the far bank, crossed the river, snapped a fallen log, approached within 10 feet while screaming and giving off a strong odor, then recrossed the river and left up the hill over about 25 minutes. Nothing was seen because it was pitch dark.
