The witness was guiding two clients on a nighttime drift-boat trip at Beginner's Hole. After hooking something heavy that fought like a living animal, he watched it stand upright in the river about 30 feet below the boat, waist-deep with its arms moving as it worked free of the hook. After a few minutes it freed itself, dove underwater, and left a wake heading downstream without surfacing for about 100 yards.

The witness and a companion were driving on a highway at night during a long-distance move when headlights briefly illuminated a light-brown bipedal figure standing motionless a few yards off the road. The figure showed reflective eyes and appeared larger than the witness, in a stance as if about to cross. The witness initially said nothing, but later the companion independently mentioned seeing a bigfoot at the same location.

While stopped at a picnic-area parking lot on the Pike's Peak road, the witness stood atop a large rock formation while a parent prepared to take a photograph from below. The witness reported noticing a black, large-bodied creature in motion about 100 feet behind the parent and shouted for the parent to look, but the parent did not turn. The creature was gone within a few seconds. The witness stated the animal was not a bear.

The witness and a companion were standing on a boardwalk at night when they saw a dark upright figure walking at the edge of the surf. The figure moved south with a smooth, long stride and swinging arms before disappearing down the beach. No footprints were left because it was walking slightly in the water.
Vocalizations heard by multiple witnesses
Five people were talking in a boat on Beaver Lake late at night when coyotes began yipping and howling. Shortly after, a much lower and longer howl was heard from several hundred yards away and repeated two or three times. Two companions suggested a Husky-type dog, but the reporter felt it was deeper than coyotes or a Husky and believed it may have been a Bigfoot. No further sounds were heard afterward.

The witness was sitting on a hillside above a creek outside Dunsmuir in the afternoon. From about 300 yards away he watched a tall, dark, hairy figure squatting at the creek grabbing fish for several minutes. When the witness moved to get binoculars, the figure stood and ran on two legs with large leaps out of view. The witness did not go down to the site because the slope was too steep.

The witness was leading scouts on a morning hike and was ahead of the group when loud crashing and whoop-like howls were heard. Rounding a trail curve, the witness saw a large hair-covered figure about 50 yards away and observed it for a minute or two before it walked away into the woods. The witness noted a foul skunk-like odor and then told the approaching scouts they had just missed an elk.

While camping with family the witness slept in a companion's vehicle because of cold and snow. Between 11pm and 2am he awoke feeling watched and saw an upright figure cross the meadow in front of the vehicle heading north. The figure was estimated at 6.5 to 7 feet tall and was visible for a few seconds at 75 to 100 yards before walking into the woods.

Three people were sitting and talking in a pasture late at night when one of them noticed a very tall, bulky figure walking toward them. The figure stood watching them, then crouched as they stood to leave. They ran to their car and turned on the lights, but it had disappeared, and they drove away.

On an evening beach walk with a dog, the witness glanced toward steep hills and saw two very large black-covered figures walking hunched over with ape-like arm swings and very long strides. The figures appeared to notice the witness and come toward her, prompting her to run toward her vehicle. When she looked back to check for pursuit, she saw only a doe nearby.

The witness was on an evening walk with a dog on a beach north of Brookings when the dog refused to enter the north end. Later, while heading up the path to the parking lot at 7:15 p.m., the witness saw two very large black-covered figures on the steep hills to the north. The figures walked hunched over with ape-like arm swings and long strides and appeared to come toward the witness, who then ran toward a vehicle.

While kayaking near an island with a companion, the witness saw something drop from a tree and heard very loud stamping and running. The witness turned the kayak outward and then saw a large gray animal walking away knee-deep in the water while hunched over. The animal went around a fallen tree, showing a flat black face and shaggy coat, and moved away very quickly.

The witness reports being awakened while in a tent at night by a very loud, lengthy scream that remained in one spot for about 10 minutes. The scream was accompanied by sounds the witness interpreted as tree limbs breaking and logs rolling downhill. The witness stayed inside the tent listening and did not see the source of the sounds.

The witness was camping with a large group past Fall Creek when, at dusk near the tent, she felt stared at and saw a hair-covered Sasquatch-like figure standing a few feet away for a few seconds. She went into the tent without telling the group at the time. Later that night a companion separately reported encountering a similar figure by the creek embankment.

Two relatives camping at Lost Lake experienced heavy stomping and snorts beside a tent at night, then saw a pair of glowing eyes in the darkness approach them before it ran away. The reporter learned of the night incident in the morning. The reporter then found and photographed a large human-like footprint estimated at 15-16 inches.
Howls heard at night near home outside Guilderland
The witness was indoors in the evening when distant howls were heard behind the house. About an hour later a very loud screaming howl was heard from just outside an open but blind-covered window. The witness felt paralyzed with fear and did not look out. Afterwards a relative's dog was found cowering in a corner having defecated, and it stayed hidden the rest of the night.

The witness was reading on a cabin porch late at night when hearing footsteps and a twig snap in brush nearby. The witness turned on a light and saw a crouching figure that then stood upright and ran away quickly with long strides. The witness went inside to tell relatives and reported sleeping little that night.

In June 2001 the witness's children discovered large footprints in the field behind the family mobile home and photographed them. About a week later the children heard something running across the hillside while playing at the creek, and the family dog chased it and later returned covered in slime. The children later encountered large rocks rolling toward them on the hill, and the witness heard a loud prolonged growl, with a horrible unidentified odor lingering after the hillside activity.

The witness was smoking in his garage at night when he felt a strong sense of being watched and became fearful and went inside. Shortly after he and his wife were in bed, they heard strange evolving vocalizations from the woods behind the house through an open window, including babbling, crying-like sounds and loud screaming lasting about three minutes. A neighbor's flashlight appeared during the screaming, after which the couple closed the window and the sounds stopped.
