Two campers sheltering in a tent during a severe nighttime storm heard a heavy bipedal animal circling their camp for about four hours. The animal repeatedly screamed loudly and snapped large branches as it walked, at times coming within about 20 feet, but darkness prevented any visual observation. In the morning they found no tracks or sign on the wet granite surface and hiked out.

The witness, then a child home sick on a couch, awoke in the middle of the night to the outside dog whining. Looking out the living-room window, the witness saw a large dark silhouette filling the window width and standing silently looking in. The figure was described as taller than six feet, with several inches of moonlit sky visible above its head, and showed no discernible features or movement.

The witness and a companion hiked about five miles up a creek to fish and felt they were being watched as the forest went unusually quiet. During an afternoon thunderstorm a lightning strike hit across the creek, after which they heard a growling or grunting sound and branches breaking high in trees moving rapidly up the creek and mountain out of hearing. The witness briefly saw a large shadow moving in the woods but nothing conclusive, and they could not search for prints because a fire from the strike caused evacuation.

While camped on a river bar, the witness and his father walked inland up a creek to look for flowing water. On a sandy bar beside a pool they found very large, deep tracks crossing in a straight line with a long stride. The father compared his own foot, grew tense and watchful, then led the witness quickly back to camp saying they were bear tracks and telling him not to tell the others.

The witness interpreted the figure as a young Sasquatch about 4.5 feet tall and reported feeling that something unnatural was being witnessed.

The witness scouted a hilltop path one afternoon, then returned the next morning after light rain to find large human-like barefoot prints overlying his own prints from the day before. A cat with them arched and screeched, drawing her attention to a huge black man-like figure with long flowing hair. The figure crouched then stood and ran uphill bent over, weaving around branches quickly and quietly. She grabbed the children and ran back downhill.

Waking late at night to use the bathroom and holding a flashlight, the witness saw a very tall silver-white hairy figure standing nearby that turned slightly to look. The witness did not scream, checked that other children were asleep, looked back to find it gone, felt heavy vibrations as it left, and zipped into the sleeping bag until morning.

In summer 1966, the witness and her older sister were talking in a parked car near a river in Albion in the evening while the rest of the family was on a nearby boat. Across the river they watched two large, hairy, bipedal animals chase a flock of about 50 sheep around a fenced pasture for 20-30 minutes. After dark they hid in the locked car overnight and reported the event to their parents in the morning, later learning several sheep had been killed with bellies and internal organs eaten.

A camp counselor leading about two dozen children on a backcountry hike reported encountering an erect, reddish-brown hairy creature at close range on a ridge in daylight. The creature watched the group for about a minute, then fled upslope on two legs. That night at a lakeside camp the group reported a strong skunk-like odor, distant landslides, a small dim green light, snapping branches, and large shadowy figures moving among trees for about two hours. Activity reportedly ceased after two counselors left to seek medical help for an ill child.
