The witness was waiting by a truck for her survey partner when she heard screams, distress-like animal cries, rock-smashing sounds, and brush crashing with mumbling like conversation. Shortly after, her partner arrived by a different trail and said he had found a freshly killed deer torn in half with steam, blood, and a blood trail, but had heard nothing.
