Man finds large, human-like footprints in mud while jogging near his home (photos included)
The witness was out running and during cool down noticed possible footprints in dried mud beside a road. The impressions were larger than the witness's size 13 shoe, some showing toe impressions, spaced about 6 to 7 feet apart in a straight narrow line and sunk rather than skidded. The witness photographed the impressions but remained unsure they were actual tracks because of many nearby boot and shoe prints.
Long howls heard just outside Prescott
The witness and spouse were in their bedroom with the window open late at night when they heard prolonged howls from a distance. The howls repeated over several minutes and prompted neighborhood dogs to bark. Small rocks and sticks were then thrown into camp, including a softball-sized rock that landed nearby, followed by impacts on a food box and the trailer. Others sheltering in the trailer also heard footsteps, breaking branches, impacts, and a heavy sigh, and later a branch-like object was dragged across the trailer roof.

On Feb. 1, 2007 while driving on Highway 60 past Vernon, the witness saw a bipedal creature running toward the road. It placed a hand on a fence T-post, vaulted over, crossed the two-lane road in a few strides, and continued into a narrow canyon out of sight. The witness pulled over but remained in the vehicle and did not look for tracks.

The witness was driving slowly to work in heavy fog before sunrise when a tall hairy biped crossed the road a few yards ahead from right to left. The animal moved at a slow run and briefly turned its upper torso toward the headlights before disappearing into the fog. The driver stopped, stunned at nearly hitting it, but could give no further detail because of the conditions and brief duration.

In 2006 the witness, working as a forest ranger, was parked by a road near an airport waiting to check woodcutters' permits around sundown. A black-haired, man-like creature crossed the road about 100 yards ahead, moving quickly from the northeast to the west toward gullies. The witness drove toward it for a better view but it had disappeared, and the witness did not leave the vehicle to investigate.

The witness was driving toward Concho, Arizona in the afternoon when he saw a tall, dark-brown, hair-covered biped step onto the highway ahead. The figure stayed fully upright and ran across the road from right to left before disappearing into brush. The witness's wife was in the vehicle but did not look up in time to see it. The witness stated he was certain of what he saw and ruled out a bear based on its erect posture and movement.

A family camping near Bear Canyon Lake was awakened about 4 AM Sunday by repeated loud, angry howling, screaming and growling estimated about 150 yards away. The calls continued many times and caused coyotes to react, while the family stayed quiet in their tent until daylight. Neighboring campers had left by morning so they could not be interviewed.
