A couple camping on an isolated site finished dinner and sat by a campfire when the wife felt watched and fearful. The husband searched with lights and briefly saw movement in the trees about 30 feet away, including what looked like a large dark lower leg. While inside the trailer the wife heard two to three whooping sounds from that wooded area.

The witness stayed two nights at a friend's house on a wooded mountain development. On the first night outside the house he reported paired knocking sounds, stones hitting the roof, and a brief glimpse of gray movement. The next day he found two partial human-like footprints in a steep bank near a trail. On the second night he heard more knocks and howling, then was awakened by loud pounding on the roof and walls that the host also heard.

The next morning he found very large human-like footprints and followed them about 75 yards through a saddle before resuming hunting. He photographed the first print with a cell phone.

A woman driving in the afternoon reported a very large hairy creature emerging from a ditch beside the highway. It crossed the road in front of her car, stepped over a guardrail easily, and walked into nearby timber. The animal was described as tall and powerfully built, walking at a normal pace without acknowledging the vehicle.

The figure stopped after noticing them, then turned and walked silently back into the woods despite dry leaves on the ground. When they reached the spot, it was gone with no sign or sound.

The witness reported hearing a single loud knock sounding like a large stick struck against a hollow tree about 150 feet away near a campground road. About twelve minutes later the witness heard another similar single knock from much farther away in the distance.

The witness was driving out of a condo complex around 2:30 a.m. to drive home. The truck headlights illuminated a very tall figure walking north through a field beside the road. The witness watched its side profile as it moved quickly with long swinging arms and did not react to the lights. After turning onto the main road, the witness looked back and could no longer see it.

The witness was camped alone in a car at night when a loud knock-like sound was heard from 75 to 100 yards to the west. About an hour later, a brief scream-like yell was heard from the north, described as coming from height and sounding strangely feminine. The witness considered but could not match the sounds to known wildlife. No visual contact or physical traces were reported.

The witness was sunbathing alone on a log at the brushy end of a lake in the mid-afternoon. A very loud, sustained howl rising from low to high pitch was heard at very close range, ending in a hoop-like sound, followed by silence. The witness saw nothing in the dense brush, quickly dressed, and hiked back to the vehicle while repeatedly looking back.

The howls repeated over several minutes and prompted neighborhood dogs to bark. The eyes were estimated at 7-8 feet high and appeared to move across the property, stopping to focus on him when he moved, for several minutes. The friend then fled with a handgun to stay elsewhere.

The witness was driving west on a highway in the afternoon when he noticed a stationary stocky figure covered in reddish long hair standing beyond a fallow field in front of woods. He saw only the upper body and head for about three seconds before a bank and foliage blocked the view. His companion was asleep and saw nothing, and he was unable to stop or return to the location.
