The figure appeared to be waiting to cross toward a nearby lake and did not look at her vehicle. She continued driving without stopping and later returned in daylight but remained in her vehicle.

The witness was driving a truck with his son on a gravel road beside railroad tracks in daylight. The witness was returning down the canyon after fishing and exploring when a tall, dark, muscular creature crossed the road toward a meadow. It was watched for a few strides with a bent, arm-swinging gait, then seen crossing back at a slower pace as if avoiding an oncoming truck and people in the meadow. The witness believed they were the only observer and later found large tracks on a return visit.

The witness heard loud crashing in brush near the truck, faint low growls from across the road, and later loud splashing from a drainage, while the companion reported finding very large, deep footprints in mud by the stream. Neither saw the source of the sounds or tracks, and they left the area feeling something large had stayed hidden nearby.
