The witness and his wife returned in late January to a rock grotto where he had earlier found a possible bedding area. They found the bed intact but an old wagon moved from a ledge with drag marks in the rock. As they hiked out through a ravine, unseen actors on both ridges followed them for about an hour with knocks, whistles and other vocalizations, shaking and snapping saplings and throwing rocks until the pair reached the woods edge. Neither reported seeing anything.

The witness was deer hunting alone from a ground blind in northern Minnesota. A frightened doe ran into the blind and lay down behind the witness. The witness describes growing up in a remote wooded home where the family routinely encountered a tall white figure with red eyes called Whistling Paddy. She recalls hearing its whistling and screaming sounds as a child, while relatives reported seeing it around the home, especially at dusk when it came for vegetable scraps. The family did not generally fear it but brought children inside after dark.

The witness was camping overnight with a large scout group near a lake when a large pot of food disappeared from camp. Throughout the night the group heard bushes thrashing, repeated tree knocks, and loud long whistles coming from different sides of the camp. Counselors kept everyone by the fire until daylight, when another scout group helped them leave and police were called but reportedly found nothing.

The witness heard whistling and chomping sounds near a creek and looked toward them. A very muscular, hairy, man-like creature was present for about two minutes before walking into the treeline at the creek edge. The witness later returned to the area and found footprints by the creek.

In the third summer the witness and a relative walked toward the sound with baseball bats and got within about 25 yards. While the whistle continued they heard a wet growling sound at the same time and fled. The whistling was heard only once the next year and then stopped.

Late at night the witness and a companion were talking outside a house bordering woods when they heard loud screaming they first mistook for a woman. They took a light and tools and went a short way into the woods, where the sound became a loud high-pitched whistling with heavy rapid breathing very close beside them. Unable to see the source and unnerved, they retreated, called police, and listened as the screams moved away to the southeast and faded.
