As the witnesses walked back toward camp, they heard a single long, echoing primate-like call from the dark woods in the direction the deer had stared. The witness later compared it to a gibbon call but with more body, and said he had never heard anything like it despite extensive time outdoors.

The witness and three companions were spending the night in a tent in a backyard with a small fire when they heard grunting or snorting noises for about 15 minutes. They then saw a tall hairy upright creature along the tree line at the edge of a harvested corn field for about 20 seconds. The creature looked toward them and then ran into the woods amid falling limbs and other noises, frightening them so they went inside.

Two companions were fishing a branch of the river in the morning when they heard a sound like a dying deer and noticed a very strong odor. They then heard movement and footsteps on a nearby island but could not see the source over the terrain. One companion briefly reported seeing something he first thought was a bear and then suggested could be a bigfoot, after which the pair left the area.

While hiding in a ditch during a paint ball game with a young child, the witness claims both heard strange groaning sounds from toward nearby apartments. The child became frightened and they went inside, then the witness brought family and other children into the yard where the group reportedly heard the groans again. Late at night at a wooded residence, a child went outside to tend a car, heard strange vocalizations and saw a white figure, then ran inside. A young man then shone a flashlight toward the woods, saw a large white furry bipedal creature, fired a shot, and the creature stumbled then fled on two legs while others watched from the porch and trees were heard breaking.

The witness was walking alone on an old road at the edge of a meadow in the evening when a very loud, long-lasting bellowing-like sound came from woods across the meadow. The witness kept watching while cutting the walk short and returning to the vehicle. No other people, vehicles, or camps were seen in the area when leaving.

After the witness mimicked the calls, the callers replied and appeared to move closer, while the dogs grew fearful and cowered. Once sounds were very close in the trees after dark and the dogs barked aggressively at the vehicle windows, the witness left the area by vehicle.

The witness reports hearing various vocalizations at night during summer at a family home bordering National Forest in Sly Park, last heard the previous summer, experienced with a brother. The witness, brother, and mother also reported very large human-shaped bare footprints with a long stride in a dirt roadway, with no casts or photos taken. They also reported finding twisted and broken tree limbs nearby and submitted photos of the damage, described as occurring where machine cause was unlikely.

Three young men were camping by a pond at night when they heard a loud moaning yell twice, followed by fast bipedal footsteps approaching. They turned on the truck's headlights and saw a six-foot-tall hair-covered creature with long arms about 20 yards away in a hollow. After watching for about 10 seconds, they fled in the truck.

The witness family was bank fishing after dark while their daughter imitated owls. An owl flew closely past them, immediately followed by an extremely loud, chest-vibrating roar from nearby cover that lasted several seconds. Frogs and insects went silent for a time, then slowly resumed, and the family left shortly afterward.

The witness was walking back from the mailbox in the afternoon when she heard deep man-like grunts and thumping from a brush thicket beside the driveway. She saw part of a large reddish-brown fur-covered animal, hunched over and rubbing or pounding its head or shoulders on trees. When she moved to get a better view, the animal ran toward her growling with heavy footfalls, and she fled to the house as it hit downed trees and stopped at the brush edge.

A teacher was awakened around 1-2 a.m. by barking dogs at a school campus and looked outside from her doorway. About 25 yards away under a pole light she saw a very large dark figure outside the fence holding the top barbed wire with its head level with the wire. The motionless figure made a repeated cough-like sound and was gone when police arrived with spotlights. Pupils later reported finding large barefoot prints in patchy snow where it had stood.

In October 2004 the witness was bow hunting from a stand when gibberish-like vocal sounds and running were heard in the pines. At night while using a computer at home, the witness heard odd sounds and saw a bigfoot looking in through the back window. The witness greeted it, and it turned away and walked toward the field behind the house. The witness later found a large footprint with apparent dermal ridges on the bank behind the house and reported talk-like voices that could not be imitated.

The witness was hunting squirrels alone late in the afternoon along an old road near a swamp. After smelling a strong foul odor and hearing growls, hoot-like sounds, footsteps and brush movement, the witness continued toward a clearing. The witness then saw a tall reddish hairy creature cross the road behind them in one step and run into the brush, then ran to the truck and left.

The witness and a companion were sleeping in a tent on a hunting trip when they were awakened by five unknown vocalizations from different directions over several minutes. The sounds were described as between a growl and a scream, likened to a higher-pitched seal. Other nearby hunters also heard the sounds and no one could identify the source.
