After finding a parked car had been spun and scuffed, he lay awake in the tent hearing something slide down the valley wall, cross the creek, and knock over a cooler. Footsteps circled the tent and stopped over his head, and he saw a massive head looking down before it left.

He woke to loud breathing outside, saw a large beast standing at the end of the backyard by the mountains, grabbed a rifle and turned on a light, after which it was gone.
