A tall dark hairy creature stood up, made ticking teeth sounds, and walked toward the woods as a strong musky odor was noticed. The witness drove to town to report it and was later turned away by state police who had cordoned off the area.

Four witnesses walking upstream along a creek heard rustling that kept pace with them from across the water. They then saw a hair-covered face peering at them through bushes a short distance away, which appeared two more times as they continued. When the witness was 11, a very tall hair-covered creature stood outside the house window for a few minutes late at night before walking around the side of the house. The next day the witness and a sibling found large footprints around the house and estimated the creature's height from the window measurement. In the evening after dark, the witness's sister went into a bedroom to let a cat out, flipped the curtain and light on, and found a large hairy face with glowing eyes staring through the glass from less than two feet away. She screamed and froze, and by the time others ran in from the living room the figure had leapt off the porch and vanished. She later described height to the top of the door frame, dirty matted hair and a wide face.

While fishing about forty yards apart on a riverbank, the witness and a relative felt watched and noticed movement in brush at the base of a cliff. The pair fled down a trail toward camp, and the witness looked back to see a large hair-covered arm and hand reaching out of the brush right behind him before it disappeared. The next day they returned and found indistinct tracks in soft dirt at the bottom of the cliff face.

Near Christmas 1980 the witness was riding a snowmobile with a relative on a forest trail at night when they got stuck. Both smelled a strong rotten-meat odor and then the witness saw a fur-covered bipedal figure about six feet tall run across the trail into the bush. The witness found a large bare footprint where it crossed and bipedal steps through deep powder snow. A parent who arrived later saw the remaining marks and told the witness the figure was a sasquatch.

A large hairy bipedal creature crossed the road in front of the car from one side to the other within a few seconds. The witness reported a brief glimpse of a long shaggy finger-like shape through the vent screen, and said the sounds withdrew when a car approached and returned later.

In the afternoon two members heard heavy movement circling in brush, and one moved closer and watched part of a tall dark figure step from behind a tree. The observer described a seven-foot-tall heavily built figure with long arms, no visible neck, and reddish eyes. The pair left the area and discussed the sighting on the drive home.

The witness was squirrel hunting in a small farm woodlot on a sunny mid-morning when noisy birds in the underbrush drew attention. At a bend in a lane the witness saw a tall reddish-brown hairy biped standing off the trail about 25 yards away and they stared at each other without moving. After a standoff the creature raked berries from a shrub and ate them while glancing between the shrub and the witness. The witness slowly backed away out of sight, then walked fast and ran from the woodlot.

The witness waited in a parked car in an open farm field at dusk while a companion hunted nearby. After the companion returned uneasy to the car, both looked toward a large oak tree ahead. The witness saw two small dark hair-covered figures moving and climbing around the tree; one came down, moved behind the trunk, then peered out and stood upright looking toward the car. Frightened, the pair left immediately and drove home instead of staying overnight.

In the summer of 1979 or 1980, the witness was fly fishing at a lake near Mt. Jupiter while camping with a companion. He noticed in peripheral vision a reddish-brown figure moving around a recently vacated campsite and then striding rapidly into the woods. He realized afterward the stride and arm swing seemed unusual and compared it to the Patterson film he had seen earlier. He and his companion later checked the rocky campsite but found no tracks.

In summer 1980 the witness and a companion were hanging out listening to the radio on a moonlit trail when a companion pointed out a hunched figure holding a small tree about 30 feet away. They shouted at it, advanced for a better look, then fled home in fear. The next day they compared descriptions and agreed closely.
