Bigfoot creature being seen & heard throughout night and footprint evidence found
Between midnight and 5 a.m. residents of an apartment building heard branch-breaking and other noises. The following morning footprints were found widely in the area, including across the street. A sighting was also reported outside a resident's window at 5 a.m. on August 9, 1997, amid similar activity said to have persisted for weeks.

The witness and companions were camping on a hilltop overlooking a valley and creek. Late at night the witness heard heavy bipedal steps climb a steep slope, stop, then run into the forest, sounds the companions also heard. About two hours later the group heard a single very loud scream that briefly silenced forest sounds. Around 2 or 3 AM a companion awoke to see a large arm reaching through the van window for food, and food was found missing and spilled, with gouges seen on the slope the next morning.

The witness and a hunting companion were talking in the bed of a pickup while camped after bow hunting near Crooked Creek on a bright moonlit night. About 20 yards away they watched a two-legged figure peek from behind a cottonwood tree, then run to hide behind another cottonwood. Feeling unsafe with only a bow, they shouted about having guns and then left, driving 25 miles to sleep elsewhere.
Forest worker has many encounters with bigfoot
Two forestry workers resurveying a remote allotment for a timber harvest reported being followed at a distance while smelling a heavy stench. During a break they heard large movement in the brush, threw a piece of wood toward the sound, and then saw the backlit shadows of four hair-covered figures behind bushes in a break of sunlight. The witness described two large males standing motionless, a thin female with a hump who vocalized and wrung her hands, and a smaller child-sized figure, before the light faded and the pair left the area to finish work later.

Two people in separate boats traveling along the shore of a remote lake reported seeing a gray shape that frightened them. The account was covered in a local newspaper in early July 1997 and was later summarized by an investigator who noted the witnesses were reluctant to speak with the press. On July 16, 1997, a tour guide driving tourists along a road stopped near a burned-out bridge and watched an upright, hair-covered creature for about 15 minutes from 70 to 80 yards away. The guide moved the bus forward and backward to give passengers views and tried to get a passenger with a telephoto lens to exit for photos, but no one would leave. The guide then drove away and could not relocate the creature on a later return.

The witness reports sitting on a deer stand by a field with relatives during a sunny day. The witness looked west and saw a tall reddish-brown animal with dark deep-set eyes, facial hair, and a broad forehead. After looking away briefly, the witness looked back and the animal was gone.

The creature reportedly moved with incredible speed after the woman screamed on seeing it. The writer recalls no further details, noting memory of specifics has faded.

The witness and the witness's son were driving north at night toward a New Year's party when they noticed a very large brown-covered figure kneeling just off the road with its back to them. They slowed as they passed, questioned what they had seen, but did not stop or turn back that night. They returned the next morning to check the spot but found nothing there.

The witness had split from a hunting companion to stalk along a forested ridge on a November morning. He noticed a large, dark-haired bipedal figure emerge below the ridge tip about 83 yards away and step beside a large oak. The two watched each other from behind trees for about three minutes, after which the figure left toward the woods following a loud snap the witness later attributed to an armadillo. He found no tracks on the hard ground.

A hunter and his son paused on a ridge while elk hunting in the morning after hearing a noise and a snap. The father saw a brown, long-haired biped from the shoulders down standing in old cuttings, which grabbed a tree and swung behind it to keep the tree between them. The son reported hearing a high-pitched scream and grunting that the father could not hear. They searched the spot but found no sign, noting an unusual absence of deer and elk sign.

The witness was studying at home late at night when a tethered dog and nearby livestock became highly agitated. The witness went to the front door with a pistol and flashlight and saw a large figure crouched in tall grass outside a hot-wire fence. The figure then stood on two legs and ran bipedally along the fence while the witness tracked it briefly before retreating inside. A later search of the area found only disturbed grass and no footprints.

The witness was driving home late at night when a large manlike entity crossed the two-lane road in front of the vehicle in a few fast, smooth steps and disappeared into trees on the far side. The witness stopped, noting no other vehicles or people around, and heard it crashing through brush. The next morning the witness found a path of broken brush and trampled grass where it had crossed but no tracks.

The guest, a soldier in training, went for an evening run on a straight road through woods on base. Something in the woods mirrored his footsteps and paced him as he ran back, staying about 25 meters away despite his speed. At the edge of the woods near the barracks he heard a tree smashed apart and saw cream-colored legs from the waist down before the figure walked away.

The witness was archery hunting on a trail at dusk after separating from a companion to go different directions. After hearing an unfamiliar deep yelping sound and then loud wood-splintering, the witness saw a head-and-shoulders shape with no visible neck beyond a log. When the shape swiveled slightly, the witness backed away and returned quickly to the vehicle, visibly frightened.

Late at night the witness was driving on a narrow wooded road when a hairy figure darted from the roadside and crossed in front of the vehicle. The witness braked hard and briefly saw the figure from the side and rear in the headlights as it went up a bank into the woods. The figure was described as tall, powerfully built and long-haired with no visible neck.

The witness was mining on a creek when movement caught attention. On standing, the witness saw a creature described as a Bigfoot peering from behind a tree about 60-75 yards away. The creature looked upstream toward the witness's companion, then leapt over rocks while staying low and disappeared. The witness slipped on mossy rocks while backing away, injuring an arm, then hurried up the trail.
