Both occupants noticed a large brown hairy figure seated with its back to the road facing the treeline, and slowed to about 45 mph while passing without stopping. The figure remained stationary and was described as broad-shouldered with a pointed conical head, no distinct neck, and very long arms with hands beside the body.

She retrieved her truck and aimed its headlights into shrubs by the driveway, revealing a gray long-haired animal. It jumped a barbed-wire fence and ran on all fours through tall grass as she followed by truck before it veered toward a creek and disappeared.

The witness and a companion were fishing from rocks in a river near cabins in the afternoon when they noticed a large upright creature standing in heavy brush on the far bank about 15 feet away watching them. The creature briefly rubbed its face with a hand before both individuals fled to the cabin to alert their guide, but it was gone when the guide returned with a rifle.

The witness felt they had come between the creature and the deer and thought it may have been hunting the deer.

The witness and a secretary stepped outside their remote office for a break and noticed a large hairy creature on the mountainside about 100 yards away holding onto a rock ledge. They watched it for about ten minutes with a clear view of its face and eyes before the secretary became frightened and they went back inside. When the witness went back outside shortly afterward, the creature was gone.

A couple walking with their two dogs noticed a large dark figure crossing a frozen lake toward an island. They watched it move quickly through tall cattails from about 350 yards down to about 150 yards before it entered woods and disappeared. The witness tried to approach for a closer look but the dogs refused to follow, and he found no tracks in the hard-packed snow and ice.

They concluded it did not appear human and continued driving without stopping.

On New Year's Day morning the witness was birdwatching off-trail in a Florida state park when they noticed a hairy arm gripping a pine with a nest box about 100 yards away. Through binoculars they watched a hair-covered creature hug the opposite side of the trunk, peeking out and shifting to stay hidden for several minutes. When the witness stepped closer, the creature dropped and fled unseen through saw palmettos, leaving a wake of moving vegetation.

Years later while researching in Washington, the witness and his wife were slowly cruising forest roads looking for trails. A huge black blur crossed immediately in front of their vehicle too fast to follow, brushing a tree that kept rocking. They saw no animal after stopping and heard no further crashing, concluding it must have been a Sasquatch moving at full speed downhill.

The witness was driving a tractor-trailer south on a dark highway in the early morning when headlights lit a figure on the east side of the road. The figure first appeared bent over, then stood upright as the truck approached, showing wide shoulders, an ape-like face, and yellow eyeshine. The witness passed at highway speed within moments and could not discern fur color.
