Early on a February morning in 2005, the witness was driving along Chazy Lake Road toward work when a dark figure rose from a roadside ditch ahead. The figure, described as human-shaped but slouched, moved into the woods within about five seconds. The witness only saw the upper two-thirds of the body and could not estimate height or weight.

The witness and a friend were maintaining a camp fire at night behind the friend's house near a wooded ravine. When the witness stepped toward the ravine to gather twigs, he saw a tall black form standing in tall weeds below and watched it move side to side before it looked up showing red eye reflection. After the friend also looked and fled to the house, the form ran across the creek toward a field and the witness ran inside.

Shortly after arriving at a secluded cabin, the 17-year-old witness and his best friend took a paddle boat onto the five-acre pond without lights. Near a dark cove they approached a huge dark figure on the shore. As they realized it had broad shoulders and a head with no neck, it lifted its leg and caused a huge splash, and they paddled frantically back to the dock.

After stopping, one occupant heard sounds in the woods and both then saw a head-and-shoulders shape move quickly between trees before the area went quiet.

With bright headlights from about 50 feet away, they saw a large white figure sitting on a branch with broad shoulders and hairy dangling legs moving slightly. After the companion shouted to leave, the witness reversed the car and drove away, then both called relatives.

In summer 2005 the witness drove back from a relative's house late at night and pulled into the mother's driveway. The headlights illuminated a large hairy figure standing partly behind a dumpster at the bottom of the driveway, which looked toward the witness without moving. Immediately after his car passed, the figure stood upright and crossed the two-lane road behind the car in two to three long strides, seen in the rearview mirror. The witness was riding an ATV down a washed-out road on a family farm when he briefly saw a tall, massive furred animal about 150-200 yards away that reflected sunlight and then retreated into thickets. After approaching the spot, he heard loud running with breaking limbs, then two loud bangs like wood knocks, followed by prolonged deer snorting and stomping before he left. He returned the next day to photograph suspected footprints and hair found on a limb.

Late at night the witness went to check on children sleeping in a bedroom that opens onto a porch against a wooded hillside. He then briefly saw a large dark figure watching him from cover before fleeing the area and never returning.

While hunting elk at dusk, the witness and a companion climbed out of a draw and surprised a tall black hair-covered creature about 30 feet away. The creature made a loud whoof sound as it moved into a small stand of pines, displacing a bough. After the pair backed away, it gave a low guttural growl ending with teeth clicking, frightening them enough to leave.

The witness was driving west on the highway in the late afternoon when he came around a curve and saw a large dark creature at the guardrail on the right. The creature stood upright, turned its head to look at him, then turned and leapt feet-first off the embankment out of sight. The witness believed it was not a bear because of its flat face, wide shoulders, and upright movement over the guardrail.

The witness let dogs out at camp and walked up the hill behind the trailer to find a small dog. While resting near a rock face, the witness heard the dog bark, looked back, and saw a tall black figure running down the hill. The witness followed the sound of it crashing through brush to a clearing below, where the noise stopped.

The witness was elk hunting with a companion in the evening near a pickup. After hearing loud movement coming downhill, the witness briefly saw a bipedal figure running along a ridge through burned trees, then heard loud screams. The companion also heard the screams over the radio and in person as they met to discuss it.
