On a winter night around 11:30 p.m., the witness was traveling home from work near Sidney, Montana when a tall light-haired biped crossed the highway ahead at the end of a coulee guardrail section and continued north without looking toward the witness. The figure was described as well over six feet tall with hair that was darker at the skin than at the tips. The witness was traveling alone, was frightened by the encounter, and did not return the next day to look for tracks in the snow.

The witness was deer hunting in a wooded area in the late afternoon when a tall, hair-covered biped walked across about 30 yards away from right to left. Hearing heavy breathing behind, the witness turned and saw a tall, athletic, hair-covered male-like creature standing by a tree on the bank about 100-150 feet away. The two stared at each other for several minutes, and as the witness moved sideways downstream the creature moved between trees keeping watch, until the witness reached the companion; when they returned the creature was gone and no prints were found in dry sandy soil.
