The witness was driving a dump truck east in daylight when a brown, hairy creature about 8 feet tall crossed the road about 100 feet ahead with a long stride. The creature came from an open field to the south and went into heavy brush to the north without looking at the witness. The witness reported getting a good look from the elevated truck cab.

They came out of thick woods and saw a large fur-covered upright creature about 50 yards away, crouched and staring east. Three people riding in an SUV at night saw an animal step over a roadside fence and cross the road in the headlights. The animal turned to look at the vehicle, then continued across and scaled a steep embankment on all fours before disappearing out of sight. Unclear impressions including knuckle marks were found on the embankment the next day.

The witness was driving to work on a rural road before dawn when headlights illuminated a tall, hair-covered figure walking upright on the roadside. As the vehicle closed to within 50 feet, the figure stepped off the roadway into a ditch and disappeared into the bush. The witness did not stop at the time and reported the encounter afterward.

Two companions deer hunting walked toward their vehicle when they heard a low rumble and splashes at a drinking hole. They then watched an upright grayish-brown creature for about a minute as it lingered and walked over a ridge out of sight. They described it as 7 to 8 feet tall, heavily built with very long arms, and insisted it never dropped to all fours like a bear.

After hearing wood knocks and tree breaks for several minutes, he spotted a tall figure about 200 yards away and viewed it through a rifle scope, describing an 8-foot upright figure with a flat face that smelled the air then ran off on two legs. He climbed down, found a large five-toed human-like track where it had slid, heard whoops from two directions, and left the area.

The witness, a water hauler, reported being outside his truck at a work site in the early morning when he smelled a foul odor and saw a very large bipedal figure in the moonlight. The figure reportedly moved around the truck but stayed out of the work lights. The witness was driving down a mountain road at night after dropping off a companion when headlights illuminated a large hairy figure sitting on a log beside the road. The figure stood, leapt into the roadway, and ran across into dense cover while the witness watched. The witness stopped, turned off the vehicle, and listened briefly to heavy crashing footsteps receding into the woods before driving on and noticing a nearby campfire gathering.

A hunter left his stand in the morning to help search for a wounded deer and joined a companion who had spotted an upright hairy animal in a tree. The witness observed the animal standing in a fork through a rifle scope, noting reddish hair, bare facial skin and long arms, before it disappeared as they approached. They found heavy heel impressions and a strong odor at the site and later watched two distant figures moving in trees.

Late at night in October 2004 the witness was riding as a passenger on a southbound highway toward Springfield, Illinois, with a companion driving. At the roadside in the headlight beams they first mistook a crouched figure for dumped trash, then saw it rise upright and step back. They observed it standing fully illuminated for a few seconds as they passed closely, and both occupants exclaimed that it was Bigfoot.

The entity crossed both northbound lanes, the median, and the southbound lanes in two long strides, running upright with its arms at its sides. Two other truck drivers also witnessed the crossing, and the three later met to discuss what they saw.

The witness was driving on Hwy 402 at dusk to load steel when an animal was seen ahead on all fours crossing the road. The witness first thought horse or bear but rejected those due to unnatural gait, thin body, excessive height, long dark brown hair, and small head. The witness slowed and stopped where it entered thick woods and estimated it would stand about 9 feet tall, believing it was a bigfoot.
