The witness followed glimpsed movement around the trees, then saw a small dark-faced figure with large eyes watching through a pine and moving to keep eye contact. A high-pitched noise sounded from the trees, the figure ran away, and the witness ran back to the house.

When the witness was 15, they were fishing with their dog on Twin Creek near dark and noticed the dog acting uneasy and staring across the creek. While walking home through woods toward a cornfield, the dog growled, whimpered and backed away at a thick cedar stand. A large hairy biped then stepped in front of the animals and lurched toward a car, prompting the group to flee inside and call deputies. The biped later stood outside a lit kitchen window for several minutes while occupants held firearms but did not shoot, then left before deputies arrived, leaving a strong odor.

Hearing heavy breathing behind, the witness turned and saw a tall, athletic, hair-covered male-like creature standing by a tree on the bank about 100-150 feet away. The two stared at each other for several minutes, and as the witness moved sideways downstream the creature moved between trees keeping watch, until the witness reached the companion; when they returned the creature was gone and no prints were found in dry sandy soil.

A family living in a rural wood-frame home reported repeated nighttime visits over several years by two large hair-covered bipeds, one larger and one smaller. The creatures were said to peer in windows, mimic an infant's sounds, produce a strong septic odor, throw heavy tanks, damage a vehicle, and leave hair on the house. Livestock on surrounding farms were found dead with intestines removed. After the father fired through a wall at one creature, only the smaller one was reportedly seen, and activity lessened after relatives guarded the house and a protective ritual was performed.

The witness was camping with family in a wooded Oregon area near a shallow river and was playing outside a camper while two relatives napped. After hearing underbrush rustle and noticing a small sapling bend, the witness moved closer and saw a large hairy hand reach from behind berry brush to grab berries from about 8 to 10 feet away. The witness ran back to camp without seeing the rest of the creature and later described the hand as clearly a hand rather than a paw.

The reporter and three companions spent about half an hour on an observation tower, where the reporter heard loud clicking and short high-pitched screams and noticed an absence of birds. While driving out of the refuge minutes later, the reporter and the front-seat companion watched a huge, very wide, all-black upright figure cross the wide road in about three steps and disappear into dense brush. The companions in the back seat did not see it, and a brief stop found only a disturbed path through the brush where it had entered.

They found freshly matted grass and a human-like bare footprint with five toes in dried mud. Shortly after, the companion shouted to run as loud timber-breaking crashes and movement occurred in dense undergrowth behind him. The reporter did not see the source, but the companion reportedly saw something about seven feet tall, after which both fled to the driveway.
