Late at night the witness was driving on a rural road when headlights revealed two hairy figures beside a mailbox and gravel driveway. An adult-sized figure put a child-sized figure down on the ground and remained stooped over as if to protect it, while the child looked directly at the car. The witness did not stop and later found footprints in gravel at the spot the next day.

Late at night the witness and a relative went outside to check a heavy thud behind the house. They saw a deer run past, then a very tall hair-covered human-like figure approach from the woods. After a shotgun shot was fired toward the treeline, the figure veered closer, stopped nearby, then moved along the treeline into the woods where it remained visible for several minutes. A strong odor was noticed and large footprints were found the next day.

The witness and companion were driving north at night when they saw a tall, silvery-white bipedal figure running south along the woods edge, then turning east into dense woods about fifteen feet away during a roughly three-second view. The figure was described as slender and athletic, about seven feet tall, with flowing hair on the arms and fast, graceful movement. The next morning they found 20 to 30 tracks of two sizes with visible toes in soft muddy ground nearby, but no photos were taken and rain likely washed the tracks away.

The witness was riding an ATV down a washed-out road on a family farm when he briefly saw a tall, massive furred animal about 150-200 yards away that reflected sunlight and then retreated into thickets. After approaching the spot, he heard loud running with breaking limbs, then two loud bangs like wood knocks, followed by prolonged deer snorting and stomping before he left. He returned the next day to photograph suspected footprints and hair found on a limb.

The witness and friends drove to a remote gravel road to party at night. After a loud crash from a tree, something bipedal circled them making growling sounds and then gave a loud roar they could feel. It stepped into the spotlight as a massive white figure, climbed a bank in three steps and rushed their truck before they fled, later returning in daylight to find impressions on the bank.

A construction crew camped in a Virginia valley in the mid-1930s reported repeated visits by large hairy beings that stole food, left huge footprints, and were seen felling and dragging trees. Early one August morning in 1936 a being reached into a tent and pulled a sleeping worker out by the ankle. Other workers threw hand axes and chased it with rifles and shotguns, firing many shots without killing it, after which sentries were posted day and night.

About an hour later rocks the size of a hand began landing in the campsite, forcing them to take shelter in their cars. In the morning rangers said no other campers were registered and possible footprints were inconclusive.
