Through his scope he watched a large dark hairy person-like figure turning its head and looking around. It then grabbed a branch, gave a long woman-like scream ending in a low growl, causing two orange-clad hunters on the far side to stop and leave.

After finding a huge footprint in snow, the witness and his friend returned armed the next day and followed branch markers placed high in trees. In a shallow ravine they heard gibberish chattering, then silence, then three trees fell and screams came from three directions while the ground shook. They fled down to a logging trail where a huge red creature screamed at the witness from about ten feet away before the pursuit stopped near an old train road and river.
