After rounding a corner they saw two dark upright figures sprint across the road about 30 yards ahead and down a gully. The companion driving did not see them. The witness first thought bears but later concluded the height and upright running did not fit bears.

The witness and spouse were driving a motorhome south on Highway 37 when a single bipedal figure emerged from forest on one side, crossed two lanes in full view, and disappeared into forest on the other side. Both occupants observed the crossing from about 50 yards away around 10 a.m. and could not stop due to lack of shoulder and truck traffic.

Around 4:45 a.m., the witness was driving west to work when headlights illuminated a large dark figure crossing the road a short distance ahead. The figure moved bipedally with swinging arms at a brisk walk and crossed in only a few steps before entering the woods. Because of its great height and width, the witness judged it was not a human.

A tall dark bipedal figure emerged from woods on the east side about 20 feet in front of the truck and walked slowly across the road. It paused to look toward the occupants, showing eyeshine in the parking lights, then stepped over the road grade into the forest while crunching sounds were heard as it walked away. The witness stopped briefly then left immediately, unsettled by the human-like appearance and size.

On closer approach it appeared as a dark hair-covered figure seen from behind, which stepped easily over a roadside railing and went down into the woods toward power lines. The next day footprints at the spot were cast during a site visit with a local researcher.

The witness was driving with two passengers on Highway 175 toward Many, Louisiana, when an upright, hairy, man-shaped creature crossed the road in a heavily wooded area. The witness and a relative in the car both reacted verbally at the time and later said they no longer travel there at night.

The witness was driving on Highway 73 in the early afternoon when he saw a large brown animal squatting by the roadside. As he approached, it stood bipedally and crossed the highway in three steps into a swampy area. He stopped and found patted-down grass where it had been but no distinct prints due to wet ground, and noted a strong rancid odor at the site.

The driver saw two humanoid legs and a tall body covering the road in about three fast strides before it disappeared, while the companion saw only a shadowy figure. They did not stop, and the oncoming car was seen braking.
