While staying with grandparents at twilight, the witness watched with them as a huge hairy figure appeared at a neighbor woman's kitchen window. The woman calmly brought out caged live animals and set them on the porch. A second smaller figure crawled around the trailer on all fours, then stood, took the cages, and both left.

The witness describes nighttime noises around trash followed by discovery that garden plants were trampled and watermelons and vegetables were torn open and half eaten. The next day more fruit trees were found with broken branches and trampled, half-eaten fruit, and peas apparently picked and eaten. An older relative attributed the damage to the local wild man figure.
