Two friends hiking to collect rocks for a class encountered a large hair-covered biped drinking from a creek. They watched it stand, display aggression with a bark and boxer-like posture, and vocalize before they backed away. They fled to their car and drove to Bellevue to recover.

Sasquatch sighting in Washington (1924)
In July 1924 near Mount St. Helens, five miners traveling between their mine and cabin encountered unknown creatures and one miner shot at one. That night the creatures retaliated by throwing rocks and trying to force entry into the cabin from all sides including the roof. The attack lasted all night until just before dawn, after which the men agreed never to speak of it.
