While the primary resident was away at work, his brother and father heard his voice calling for the dogs out in the woods. They realized his car was gone and he had left hours earlier. They interpreted it as mimicry possibly intended to lure them toward the woods.

The witness was picking brush for sale near an old skid road when he heard loud growls, squeals, and brush breaking. He climbed a side hill and saw a still dark bear draped over a vine maple, then noticed a very large dark-brown biped standing about 50 feet away with its back turned. The creature turned and stared with red glowing eyes, prompting the witness to flee to his truck screaming, after which he refused to return to the woods and his crew left the area.
Sasquatch sighting near Port Alberni, British Columbia (1976)
A logger driving back toward the log landing in sun glare struck one of two hair-covered figures on the road. The struck creature fell into the ditch moaning while the larger one approached. Both then pounded the pickup, smashing the windshield before the driver fled. Managers later ordered the truck flattened and buried to conceal the incident.

A group staying in a high-elevation pine forest reported repeated large footprints and strange nighttime sounds over an unspecified period. During one late-night episode, one person looking out from a shelter saw a large shape briefly enter moonlight and then leave. A very large size and long stride were reported for the shape and tracks.
