Around Christmas 2014 after returning home about 11pm, the witness's girlfriend heard scraping on the bathroom screen, turned off the light and found herself face to face with a tall black hooded-like figure blocking the window. Next day measurement against the witness indicated about seven and a half feet tall with nothing to stand on.
Sasquatch sighting in Virginia (1997)
The witness's friend and the friend's former spouse were driving home around midnight after Christmas shopping. They saw a tall figure standing by a barbed-wire fence, watched it with a spotlight as it walked downhill, stopping to turn its whole body to look back. The location was described as within a few miles of the witness's own encounter site.
Scream in Virginia
A woman from the next wooded street approached the guest and husband in their yard to ask about weird nighttime screaming. She described it as sounding like someone murdering a woman and called it unnerving. The guest advised caution at night without naming a cause.

The day after hearing the scream, the guest asked neighbors whose woods bordered the sound. The neighbor said she and another person had been sitting on their wood-surrounded deck when something gave a deep guttural growl, and on approaching the edge she saw eyes in the woods, prompting them to go inside. The neighbor also said she often felt watched when walking by those woods.

A driver saw what looked like a white polar bear crossing the road toward a canyon. On approaching, he realized it was a large white wolf-like creature with a long tail. He did not call it Bigfoot or Dogman.
Paranormal encounter in Virginia
A man interviewed about five years earlier described encountering three figures in black cloaks at Devil's Marble Yard across the James River just after sundown. He could see no faces or hands, only blackness, and all three were the same size and build. He thought they floated rather than walked and assumed they were Satan worshipers, and he never returned.
Partial sighting in Virginia
When the witness was young, the younger brother ran from the bedroom claiming someone was looking in the window. The window was described as about nine feet off the ground. The witness saw and smelled nothing and they went to bed.
